If you are looking for small, quite, very clean, friendly, perfect position B/B then don't look any further. Happy friendly staff. Tropical garden. Great restaurants next door and across the road. Close to sea. Short bus/taxi to old town, shops. Returned home very happy, will go back.

Room Tip: We had room 42 with balcony, 2 loungers, 2 chairs, table. Perfect.

The hotel was as we expected and all the staff friendly. The garden and pool were small but kept very clean. The loungers were excellent. Our room no 21 was a nice size although the balcony was small it overlooked the pool.
Breakfast was very good, the choice of hot food changing daily.
After eating at the O Dragoeiro next door which was our favourite, we came back to the hotel and had a relaxing drink in the gardens. The location of the hotel was close to the Lido area another nice spot for an afternoon or evening drink. Funchal was a short bus ride away.If you want to see around the island we would recommend 'The Pride of Madeira' minibus company & ask for Antonio the 2nd as your driver ,he was excellent.
We would look to stay here on our next visit to Madeira & would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a really great value small hotel in a great location with wonderful gardens and little secluded spots to just sit and relax. The staff are so friendly, always have a smile and ever so helpful. The room was very cosy and very clean. We had a great week and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for real value. The only thing I would suggest that should be changed is to introduce a more imaginative breakfast choice.

Sometimes you enter your Hotel grounds and the first impression either makes your Holiday or takes time to adjust Vila Vicencia straight away we knew this was for us as you have to walk passed their wonderful gardens. We stayed for 2 weeks the first week we was in Room 47 one of the refurbished rooms which is very nice and Modern and large. Again first impression was this is just right for us, there is a large delightful scenic picture behind the headboard on the wall which we loved a large wardrobe and plenty of drawers Plus a TV the Bathroom and Shower room was all new we always had hot water the only minor Downside was the small Balcony which was tight for 2 people with a small table to be comfortable with. The second week we moved, our choice to Room No 2 which was in the main block and next to the Pool this was a larger room Mirror wardrobe loads of Drawers Bathroom was very large with a full size mirror the width of the room but had a Shower Curtain instead of Doors as Room 46. But you could sit outside on the large Patio with your own table and chairs which was ideal for us, there is a kettle and 2 cups in all rooms No fridge which would of been nice but it was safe to drink the tap water here, There is a nice clean Pool and table and chairs by the Pool and the most comfortable Sunbeds. The Hotel supply towels if required which you kept for the week There could be a Problem if the Marjory of holidaymakers all wanted to lie on the beds at the same time as there was not enough beds as mentioned the gardens are beautiful and a lot of thought must of gone on the layout with Tables and seats all around them which is lit up at night Inside there is a relaxing room with a TV all the seats are very Comfortable The Breakfast room is very nice with also tables outside as well The breakfast is not very imaginative as it works on a 3 days Cycle Boiled Eggs, sausage the next day Fried Eggs, Bacon third day Scramble Eggs, sausage + every day 3 types of Cereal plenty of cold meats cheese, cake Toast is every day do yourself 2 toasters. Plenty of Rolls, Bread Tea Coffee Fruit Juice A plate full of Yoghurt's + a tray of Fruit either Banana's melon oranges & Apples all self service saying that it was all tasty and plenty enough if you are a big eater There is Plenty of Restaurants nearby 2 of the best only yards away because it was nice and small it is very easy to make friends here. All the staff are very friendly from Carlos at the Desk to I'm sure I spelt their name wrong but to Susanna Celia and Louisa and Gabella the night Man There is a Honesty Bar in the breakfast room which is well stocked you take your requirement write on a tab your Room No and what you have take and your billed when you check out. If you like small hotels this is the Place for you wonderful. .

Room Tip: Refurbished rooms are in the 40's in the block over the pool No 1 was on it's own by the Pool a bit smaller than ours No 2 3 & 4 on the ground Floors which is convenient for sitting outside

This hotel was everything it promised to be, our room was beautiful, clean and spacious. We were in room 44, the air conditioning didn't work, "it's for next year" but there were French windows in the living room and other windows to open. We could hear a bit of traffic and sometimes people enjoying themselves in the early hours but this wasn't loud enough to disturb us. The room had a south facing balcony and we could see the sea. There was a bedroom, living room and a smaller bedroom which was empty but useful for storage. A large bathroom and toilet, lovely shower. A fridge and kettle and a television! The grounds are beautiful and the small pool is clean. Breakfast was fresh and generous. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and pillow cases. Staff friendly and helpful. All in all I would recommend this hotel for a lovely holiday.

Room Tip: Room 44, plenty of space with a south facing balcony.
