We ate here 1 night after passing on several occaisions taking note that the tables were usually full. The tables are placed outside in a quiet street under large unbrellas and are nicely presented. Restaurant Murcas has a varied menu and the food is freshly prepared to a high standard and at very reasonable prices, the tomato and onion soup being one of the best soups I've ever had and the steaks very tender.
Although described on here as a snack bar, this is a resraurant and was equal to some of the better establishments in Funchal. We would recommend to anyone and you don't need deep pockets to eat like a king!
