We went for the half day Jeep trip to the Madeira mountains with Angelo & David. They met us at the quayside in their Landrovers. Really pleasant & courteous from the start. We started in the Landrover with Angelo. The route was really twisty but took us along some fantastic views, going off-road in some parts of the journey, stopping at the top of a mountain as well as a spectacular glass Skywalk. We swapped halfway into the other Landrover & I have to say that both of them were both very knowledgeable & extremely entertaining at the same time. They were great to be with. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. They were very professional.
If you have in mind to do an off road experience in Madeira, I'd recommend these guys.
I'd score these guys 11 out of 10

Can't say enough about the excursion, the guide, the vehicle and the countryside. Our guide Angelo Diaz met us in a designated place (who patiently waited for us to arrive as our ship had not been cleared by the port so we were slightly delayed). The vehicle was clean and as an extra bonus, we were his only guests that morning. Madiera is an amazing place to see and visit but Angelo made it all the more fantastic...and even accommodating with a quick stop for a soda (my spouse hates coffee and needed caffeine). Nun's Valley is stunningly beautiful...the scenery is amazing. One has to have good legs or reliable breaks to live in this amazing area of the world. It really was a pleasure to see the area, not to mention a short stop at the Gaudi house and the glass bridge (not my thing / heights!) Nun's valley an area of the countryside that locals retreated to in times of sieges and invading foreigners....people still live and farm the area but when you consider that back in the day, it was an uphill climb without roads...well, it's pretty amazing. I would like to thank Madeira Mtn. Expiditions and Angelo for a wonderful adventure.

We did a half day Nuns Valley etc, excursion with Mountain Expeditions which was booked through Monarch. Our guide for the trip was Victor who was a very knowledgeable young man who was obviously proud of his homeland. He took us to see some spectacular views such as Nuns Valley, Cabo Girao, etc and then off we went off road! A very exhilarating experience. All done in half a day, then back to our books and some sunshine . Amazing what you can do in a day!

We went for a full day tour in the North East part of Madeira and we loved it. The driver Victor was an amazing guide. He talked us thru the all trip, he was a very sociable and funny person. It was a pleasure travelling with him. We also had a few session of off-road experience. We had the opportunity to try some exotic fruits in the mountains.
Simply amazing! Keep up the good work!

The tour really was amazing, its a must for seeing Madeira. Our driver and tour guide was David (apparently his first day mmmmmm😂😂). Have do e the mi i bus tour of this area on a previous holiday and yes that good but this 100% better! You get to travel on the old roads and see the banana plantations, vineyards and lots of flora and fauna 😊. We were introduced to the madeira dragon, madeiras tiger and panthers 😉😂

I am not Mrs fit so dont let that stop you going on this cos its okay at your pace 😊dont leave the island without doing a 4x4 trip you will
Not be disappointed, honest!
