“Good food, wine and a view to behold!”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

A really nice restaurant situated on one of the higher view points of the island, visited for the first time on our fifth visit to the island. Essential to ask for a window table when booking. The island becomes enchanting as dusk gives way to darkness and the twinkling lights takeover.
Five of us dined at the Panorama indulging in appetizers, fabulous grilled shrimps in lime and chilli sauce starter and perfect steaks to follow for four and the black pork specialty for the other. Lovely vegetable accompaniments to the mains. Delicious apple pie with caramel and ice cream dessert to follow.
All washed down with a couple of bottles of the proprietors red Portuguese fabulous wine recommendation (€37/bottle) with coffee to follow.
Service was exemplary throughout and the bill reasonable value for money at €43 per head.
A memorable visit which no doubt will be repeated on our next visit to Porto Santo.

“Made a pleasant change from all inclusive food”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

Free transport there and back. Food excellent and the views were magnificent. We got a bit fed up with the hotel food after two weeks of it so this made a pleasant change.

“Best Restaurant In Porto Santo”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

Recommended to us on a jeep excursion. The restaurant picked us up from the hotel and took us back to the hotel for free which is a real plus because the Panorama is set high up the mountain with beautiful views overlooking the 7km beach of Porto Santo & the South of the Island. We booked for 8pm so got a table by the window which you will want so don't advise booking any later as it started to fill up. My partner and I both had mussels to start and they were the biggest mussels i have ever seen and very tasty. We both had different types of stake for the main because in Porto Santo the fish never seemed to be filleted. Both steaks were very nice. Staff were helpful and polite. A definite place to visit for an evening meal when staying in Porto Santo.

This is recommended as the place to see the sunset, unfortunately it was very overcast so we didn't see it, but check timings for bookings if you want to see that. There were 13 of us so it might have been a bit too much to handle as its a small intimate restaurant so service was understandably a little slow. Food was average and by that I mean it seemed nothing special. The kids all had chicken breast and most of the adults had steaks. served with green beans, carrots and fries.
