“Good views worth the climb”

Situated near the military end of the airports runway, you can no longer drive down to this viewpoint, due to cliff erosion. You can however, park at the top and walk down. There is a very steep bank down to the viewpoint just above sea level but the views are worth the effort. Don't forget you have to get back up again. It seems to be a bit of a spot for romance as all the rocks on the way down have been carved and initialed by scores of lovers.

You can walk down to the coastline and see the amazing cliff face patterns. There is a picnic area (small) but you'll need to share crumbs with the lizards - and they'll bite... well, a nip at least!
It's a great place to walk to if you are staying at Quinta do Serrada.

Beautiful view, shame it is no longer supported by a cafe or similar but worth the walk down the hill and I think the beach would be worth a sit on for a few hours if you could face the walk back up the cliff!

Nowadays it's a bit dangerous to get there, as the wall sands are falling apart, but it stills a beautiful place to take a closer look at this sand formations.
