Recently 6 of us stayed at this Quinta for a week. The situation, style, facilities & level of service cannot be faulted. In addition to the pool area there are other well managed gardens offering visitors tranquility amongst the fruit trees, shrubs & flower boarders. To find the Quinta head for the church square in Durraes & it is signposted from there. A car is essential as local restaurants are few & far between, however an alternative is to book an evening meal at the Quinta where home cooked is the order of the day & dinner is accompanied by ample white, red & port wines included in the charge. The area is not touristy & the Quinta de Malta provides an ideal base from which to explore local towns & maybe even a day trip to Spain some 70kms away through the national park. WELL WORTH IT.
