Description: Opposite the Cafeina Restaurant, on Rua do Padrao, just 50 meters from Avenida Brazil and the sea, the Terra restaurant is unique. The high ceiling and elegant, comfortable decoration in browns and blacks, creates a classy, sophisticated atmosphere. Added to this, the amazing wine list, the balconies bursting with plants and the sushi-bar have all made Terra the first choice for a clientele who only settles for the best.

The food (sushi) was good, the atmosphere was mediocre (we didn't feel welcome), the service was downright clumsy. The waiter seemed inexperienced and there was no supervision.

I think its the best sushi I've ate in Porto city. We asked for carpaccio of salmon and mix of sushi and sashimi. And we didn't leave the place hungry. The prices are a bit expensive, but the ambient is very good and the quality of food is excellent. In each table you have special device to call the waiter or if you want to pay the bill, which is very practical cause there were a lot of clients and sometimes the waiters didn't have time to pay attention on all tables. The only thing we didn't like that for the starter they have bread, olives and patê, and the price is 2,50, but in the end for 2 persons we paid 5 euros which is expensive for such starter. But its understandable for the restaurant of such level. We will come back.

Being welcomed by a sexy girl who lies to you saying that every tables are booked once she see your 2 year's old daughter asleep in her mother's arms does not even worth the food to be tryed out. Never again.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Porto and I make sure I go there most times I go to visit. With a mix of Japanese, their own sushi bar downstairs or a la carte this great restaurant offers a huge range of dishes at outstanding quality. The gyoza (dumplings) are my favourite dish, they have truly outdone themselves. The fondant pudding is also to die for. However there are plenty other dishes worth tasting, with an extensive wine list presented in the form of an ipad that you chose from. Modern with a traditional twist. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Terra is located in a beautiful street in Porto's old quarter, across the street from another restaurant also owned by Vasco Mourão Cafeina (they share a website). I went with some local friends and had a splendid experience - food prepared in a beautiful atmosphere (ask for a room upstairs overlooking the street if it's available) and with a great deal of variety. Service, food and ambiance were all top-flight. While its name implies a very earthy menu, Terra is best known for its sushi which I thought was extremely good. There is plenty of non-Asian options on the menu and as others have noted, save room for dessert - they are spectacular. The wine list is worth noting as well - in a city where many restaurants offer just a few bottles of local wine, Cafeina and Terra have extensive lists that really let a wine lover explore the wines from the nearby Douro and Vinho Verde.
