Great place to feel the art and history of the city. The Arabic room is unbelievable and all the wall ornaments, lights and floors are very detailed with different materials from one room to another. Well done and worth the visit.

Got a great deal on entry with American Express. The guide was interesting and the building is really fascinating. You do have to take a tour, but they are frequent. Nothing else like it that I've seen.

The Bolsa (Stock Market).

Return on your steps towards the “São Bento Rail station”.
Once arrived in front of it, turn left and continue downhill towards the “Underground Parking”.
Arriving on the “Underground Car Park” you have on your right the “Bolsa” or “Stock market”.

The guided tours are in several languages on certain moments, so in case of interest you can enter and ask when that will be the next guided tour in the language of your choice.

In case you have to wait more than half an hour, I suggest that you go out, and go down the steps, and turn on your right and go again up the steps from the “São Francisco Church” which is the next place to visit on the tour, this to avoid waiting without seeing nothing.

The Stock Market is a nice place to visit it is different end for my personal the nicest thing to see during the visit is the “Gilded Arabian Hall”, but everything depends on the personal taste.
Anyhow worthwhile to made the visit.

Look further for the next part of our tourist walk.

For permission to see this building you must participate in an escorted tour. The good news is they run every 30-minutes and are conducted in Spanish and English and it is included in your 7 Euro entry fee (I got a discount [5 Euro fee] because I have been riding the red double decker tour bus). While you wait you can use the clean restrooms! It is interesting to consider that administrative staff come to work here daily in this extraordinary building. It is the most attractive, decorative building I have envisioned during my European trek and our tour group took many photographs to relive the splendour when we get home.

I have walked past this building several times but never entered till this last visit to Porto. An excellent guide showed us the rooms open to the public and the surprise is the Moroccan style room.
