I travelled to Porto with my wife and stay at Teatro Hotel for 4 nights.
There were also a couple of friends with us. One of them was on a wheelchair. We have all the help he needed and all the hotel was accessible to him.
The staff was very kind and helpful. They offer us cheese and a bottle of wine as well as a Porto wine tasting. We parked the car in the hotel garage and the staff was available to park and take the car for us every time we needed
The room was clean and the breakfast was good. We had to check out early in the morning, before the restaurant opening time but they anyway offer us all we need for a quick breakfast.
It was perfect for visiting the city. The metro and railway stations are at a walking distance (300m). High quality staff and hotel.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Hotel Teatro arose from the spot where the Baquet Theatre was inaugurated in 1859. A hundred and fifty-one years later, the unique, refined and bohemian environment of the Theatre has been revived here in a hotel. The Reception represents a box office, where each guest receives a ticket to access their room. The Restaurant and Bar have become the new Palco and Plateia, offering creations for a discerning palate. The inner courtyard is a versatile garden or a quiet and secluded haven from the tumult of the city. The 74 comfortable rooms and suites are colored in gold and bronze, and the gym on the top floor transforms the Hotel into a true arena for action and relaxation. ... more less
