I stayed here while traveling on business in late March. It was a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport. The hotel interior is very dark but after a few minutes you get used to it and it is actually kind of cool. The staff was excellent! Very helpful and genuinely interested in making my short stay a good one. The room was excellent. Nice mattress, good pillows and an awesome shower. I would stay here again if I have the opportunity. The location is perfect. A nice walk to the river or just around the corner from shops and restaurants. If I was a little more familiar with the trains I would have taken the train from the airport. There is a station right near the hotel.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Hotel Teatro arose from the spot where the Baquet Theatre was inaugurated in 1859. A hundred and fifty-one years later, the unique, refined and bohemian environment of the Theatre has been revived here in a hotel. The Reception represents a box office, where each guest receives a ticket to access their room. The Restaurant and Bar have become the new Palco and Plateia, offering creations for a discerning palate. The inner courtyard is a versatile garden or a quiet and secluded haven from the tumult of the city. The 74 comfortable rooms and suites are colored in gold and bronze, and the gym on the top floor transforms the Hotel into a true arena for action and relaxation. ... more less
