Great food at O Paparico. Yes it is expensive and it felt a bit pretentious when we got it - mostly due to the weird location, not really in the central tourist area.
But food is great, all courses are perfectly executed. Service is friendly and impeccable.
Recommended if you fancy a treat.

Our family group of six experienced a remarkable dining adventure at O Paparico. A truly excellent menu along with a wine pairing. The service was perfect, every dish explained, every wine thoughtfully presented. Delightful in every way. The ambiance is both romantic and relaxed. A special night for us and the staff at this restaurant made sure that it was.

I have to confess I never rate Places I visit because I am too lazy, too shy or never Been so impressed till now. Yesterday evening me and my best friend and fellow of the best Trips ever, decided to spoil ourselves visiting this restaurant I was already following on Fb. We thought to trust completely the chef and his team and started the path through portoguese kitchen he drawed for his guests and we pleasently followed him and the Polite and professional crew Who described us the courses. As soon as you come to Porto, please make yourself a gift and take this path. The quality/price is very balanced. Not cheap but Diamonds are a girl's best friend... Maybe in a carillon ;)

Heading out into the suburbs of Porto is worth it to experience the great food and service at this gem of a restaurant. From the moment you enter the cavernous rooms in which it is situated, you are in for a treat. Extras in picnic baskets, a delightful shared menu - succulent steak, mouthwatering oysters, delicious grouper and tender kidling - and a great cheese selection, all washed down with good value wines and some complementary dessert wine. The bill came to €90 each including vintage sparkling wine, coffee and water. With charming service, this is a great evening out.

This is a quite expensive restaurant. They bring around 8-11 dishes, small portions and all of them are individually very tasty. Everyday they have specials and different menus. The day we went, fish was dominant among the meals. The stuff is professional and they know how to serve you, but they explain you every dish one by one and they tell u what the meal contains. To be honest, it was quite annoying, we were eating and they would come, stand and talk, it felt weird. Also, u will most likely have hard time finding the restaurant itself, even the taxi driver did not know the exact location. We personally went in a wrong restaurant at the corner and they guided us but basically O Paparico has a small wooden door which u would not expect to be fancy restaurant. Inside, its very cozy and decorations were very pretty, perfect business or couple meetings or families who dont like to talk much or make loud noises 😊
