Every room is in a different design. The staff was super friendly and helped us a lot to see great places in Porto.
The house is old with high ceilings. Well renovated!
Nice Garden at the back. Beer sold at the counter. Good breakfast.

Room Tip: two door room (the blue one) at the top storey

Magnolia Hostel was a little hard to find (if you are driving) but we finally made it. A great location within walking distance to all the treats of the city of Porto. The hostel was clean, well managed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They can help you decide on activities and good places to eat depending on your tastes. Open 24 hours a day so you need never worry about getting back to your room after a great night out. The breakfast is typical and very good but could use a little more variety if you are staying more than 2 nights. Overall very good value for your money!!!!

Looking for a ceap bed in Porto we figuered out this nice hostel, not directly in the Tourist spot of the City.
We took a room with many beds but it was reallly ok because the roommates were very friendly and less looking for Party.
The hostel is an average one with everything you Need on bord.
The ammount for a night was also ok and the breakfast was includet but only a cheaper one for sure.
Beds ok, too but not new anymore.
Guestkitchen was there and clean bathrooms.

We choose this hostel in Porto because we wanted to stay not directly in the City Porto.
We fellt quite well there, only some partypeople brought a bed athmosphare in for two days.
In the Hostel You find everything beginning with a good guestkitchen, over most of the times clean bathrooms, up to a nice, little garden in the back and the breakfast was also included in the ammoumt for staying

Room Tip: Better keep away from rooms to the mainstreet.

First of all, I would like to say that I usually don't give bad reviews, but we had really bad time in this hostel. The room was without any windows looking outside, just in the hallway, so no natural light, no fresh air. The air conditioning device didn't work, and the lady from the reception, though she was nice, didn't know how to fix it, so gave us the ventilator, which wasn't helpful... The room was clean, the hostel is like 10 minutes from metro station and 15 from the river and center, but because of the room, we are lucky we stayed only one night.

Nothing bad to say about this place - the rooms are clean and airy, all with ensuite bathroom, there is a lovely courtyard at the back and the staff are really kind and helpful! Breakfast is tasty too, and its a great place to get a good nights sleep if you want to avoid the typical party hostel vibe!

5 stars!! :)

Me and my boyfriend found this hostel just by chance while we traveled arround in the northern part of Portugal.
You can't miss the heavy, red painted frontdoor of the Magnolia Porto hostel.
We walked about twenty minutes from the main railwaystation, not from Sao Bento station wich is more near.
At this time of the year it was no problem to get a bed without a reservation and so we booked two dormbeds in a morebedroom.
The hostel is just a five minute walk from the center of the old town of Porto, downhill.
In front of the hostel there is a mainroad with much traffic in the daytime but in the nighttime it is OK for sleeping, only at weekends it is not so easy to find sleep in the night because Porto is really a center of pubs and clubs and the youth of Porto knows how to celebrate.
The hostel has all the things you need for a good stay, good but not always clean bathrooms, a nice kitchen with everything who is needed for cooking, a commenroom and Internetconnection.
The best thing in the hostel is the little garden in the back, really a dream for people who are looking for total peace sometimes.
The rooms to the street have something like tiny balkonies, not a real balkony only a twenty or thirty cm plattform.
In the end I can say it was a pleasent stay but nothing special, the same way like the includet breakfast was.

Obrigada, Magnolia Hostel of Porto, thanks for having us !!!
