A really good hotel near the river ,within walking distance of all the attractions and good restaurants.
The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble, great advise on good places to eat.Mind you the hotel restaurant served a good dinner too.
The bedroom was nicely furnished with a modern shower room ,everything was very clean, although the bedroom was a bit on the small side like most city hotels.
The wi-fi reception was good ,but why does the code need changing daily!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the main road,It was a bit noisy at night, but we had no trouble sleeping.

stayed at the lisboa plaza in Lisbon.....the service and amenties were absolutely excellent and it is well located.. felt like a home away from home and the staff is lovely and helpful..would stay there again in a heartbeat so I would give them a 4 star rating however this review is based on the carris porto ribeira hotel and TAP airlines...........went to porto to the carris porto riberia...was totally disappointed
,,,,first they advertise 'full river view' but the room is actually partial or obstructed view and even when I called the reception and asked them how they called my room they insisted it was full river view which was absolutely NOT the case.....had to call for face towels and facial tissue..they had no facial tissue and the housekeeper only brought a face towel one day...also had to call for bars of soap...are they kidding???? the so called closet barely had enough room for one person to put their clothes in let alone two. no light over desk to see and the tub had a glass partition so placed that it was actually dangerous to lean over to get at the faucets.. would not stay there again

on a side note flew TAP to Lisbon and back ...I have traveled extensively and TAP alrlines has the worst food I have ever eaten..it was like dog food...they should be ashamed of themselves as the portugese people are extremely hospitable and have delicious food...is this how you introduce people to your culture????? literally could not eat it...

Room Tip: room 612 in the liboa porto ribeira is a lovely room and if I return that is the one I would ask for...

We had a two night stay at this hotel Sept 17 and 18. The real stars of our stay were the staff. I've rarely encountered front desk people who were so knowledgeable and professional.

The rooms were some of the smallest that I have ever encountered in a hotel - not sure how or why they squeezed in a king-sized bed. Everything was clean and comfortable though.

We appreciated that the hotel was close to everything - the riverfront area, train station, port-tasting rooms and shopping were all very handy.

The hotel is in an old building but the inside is very modern and inviting.

I stayed there in July with my sister and niece, we went for a 3 nights short trip, just to get a taste of O Porto and we certainly got it!
Carris Porto right by the Ribeira has a excellent location, staff is really friendly and the design is a combination of modern and old, I found it different and interesting. The facilities were excellent, our room had no view but than you just need to walk out the door and you are right in the Ribeira, with the bridges, restaurants, handcraft, boats, street performers and vibe.
Totally recommend this hotel, you can pretty much walk to city centre attractions, taxis are right outside and Red Bus City tour bus stop is close by,

This hotel is well placed being within walking distance of the station and with a taxi rank outside. It is a short walk from the Duoro river and all the nightlife. The rooms are very small with little storage space and although ideal for a short stay whilst waiting for a cruise holiday they would be cramped for a longer period. They are however clean with the air conditioning and free wifi working well and the beds are comfortable. We had opening windows and a river view but I suspect the front rooms were noisy. The hotel organised a taxi for the airport but this turned out to be a limousine and cost €30. Probably a real taxi would have been about €20. It was a good journey and overall we had no complaints. The staff are very helpful and delayed a restaurant booking for us when requested.

Room Tip: Back rooms have a river view

The hotel is a relatively new establishment (it celebrated its 1st anniversary while we were staying) in an old building that has been beautifully transformed into a modern hotel - though the lifts did seem to have a mind of their own.
The staff were friendly, efficient and seemed genuinely proud of their city, happily directing us to smaller, family run restaurants and bars away from the more touristy UNESCO area.
Breakfast was very good and the one meal we had in the hotel restaurant was superb.
Our room was comfortable, if slightly smaller than I expected, though the clear glass partition into the bathroom took at little getting used to - thankfully there were blinds available!
Right beside the hotel is Vinologica, a bar specialising in port from smaller producers - it's well worth a visit just to sample from the wide range of ports that you won't find outside the area, or to have a taster session to introduce you to the drink.
The only downside to the hotel were the road-works immediately outside though, since the whole of Porto seems to be undergoing a major resurfacing exercise, it was hardly unique to this hotel. All in all, the Carris Porto Ribeira is an excellent hotel and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the city.

A long weekend in Porto was made even more pleasurable by staying here. Fresh and clean throughout, it's well placed for the Ribeira area yet only a 400 yard stroll uphill to the station and newer city. All members of staff were polite and keen to help and the room and public areas were immaculate. Only minor niggle was breakfast which we seemed to hit at rush hour both days meaning a small wait for glasses and some dishes. But that won't stop us staying there again.
