Easy to get to from the airport , over the road from metro stop , not much in local area but it is within walking disatnce of everything if you don't mind a walk. Buy a three day pass from tourist info at airport for the metro (11 euros ) if you don't. Restuarnt opposite calle Triumphante ( I think ) excellent food & Service and very cheap , also pinguin cafe opposite the metro entrance good for snacks and coffee . Breakfast at the hotel good.Ask for a room low down if it is windy as we were on the 13th floor and the noise kept us awake.

Whenever you visit Porto, you will not spend large amounts of time at your hotel. The city is to beautiful to stay inside. This hotel is not located directly in the city center, but a 15/20 minute walk will bring you to the Douro River. The metro station is not even 5 minutes away, and connects you very convenient with the airport.

The hotel is big, but cozy in a way that it has a nice athmosphere. The rooms are ok, nothing fancy or special. For the internet you will have to pay, same for the Spa (with swimmingpool, jacuzzi and sauna). The breakfast is overwhelming, and the hotel has a nice diner menu or buffet. The bar of the hotel is not very cosy, but serves several cocktails and soda's and of course, the good porto wine.

Your room will be cleaned every day, with fresh towels and sheets. Staff is helpful and willing to try something for you.

Overall, i would defenitly stay at this hotel again, the location is good and it has nice service.

We have been two nights in this hotel, and everything o.k., good beds and great breakfast. We need to pay to park the car, but 6 euros day is a normal price.
Even with kids, we walked to the center (10 minutes) and then came by metro (stop very close to the hotel). Vila Galé is a good choice, and just in front one of the best restaurant in Porto - Triunfante 2 -, with tipical cuisine portuguese in a good price.
