“Definitely not authentic italian - not fresh and very disappointing. Expensive for the small portions.”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 via mobile

I was excited at the prospect of a nice authentic italian meal in Porto, but unfortunately the food was very poor. We got pizza and a pasta dish and both were stale tasting and far from the fresh authentic Italian food I love. The food here tastes cheap and the ingredients are certainly not fresh. Aside from the poor quality of food, the restaurant was quite expensive considering the extremely small portions. The staff was not very helpful and not attentive. The whole menu is in portugese so it is difficult for us to read. The one strong attribute of the restaurant is a nice atmosphere inside, but I would advise people to go to another restaurant. This is not worth the money or the time for below average food with very small portions.

“Italy in Porto”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

Very nice italian restaurant.
They got it, they have the italian flavour, and you now it on the simple things like the "Caprese" salad. Fresh ingredients and nice presentation.
I try the Bolognese and it was very, very good. They also have some Portuguese food, the fish is very well prepared and a lot of flavour, it's fresh.
Nice place to go with your girlfriend.

“Best meal in Oporto”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

Great surprise! Had an amazing carpaccio followed by an outstanding Lasanha. My girlfriend had a Spaghetti Toscano, that I have to say, I couldn't help myself from stilling a few bites! Very good indeed. Great selection of Portuguese and International wines with very fair prices. The small, but beautiful restaurante has an old Piano, and the owner invited another customer to play it and the good environment just become PERFECT and very romantic, with low lights and a great cold Limoncello to finish a perfect meal. Relaxed but at the same time chique, good prices and very competent and friendly staff. I will certainly repeat the experience.

“Good experience”
Reviewed 1 November 2013

This little restaurant is tucked away in a street near Rotunda da Boavista. Looks like it was one of the first Italian restaurants in Porto. I went with two friends to lunch. They have two menus: One is presented in a vinyl LP format with the Italian menu and another in a paper with a daily menu with Portuguese food. We all chosen pasta, that without dazzle, was good. To drink, we choose a very good red wine from the Douro (Noval). The service is professional and diligent. We will return.

“Insider tip worth to be better known”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

Without the help of an inhabitant of porto or Gaia, impossible to find this small Italian restaurant. Menue and beverages on 2 vinyl disks are the beginning of a gastronomic travel. Starting with a very old Port wine, the waiter came with 6 or 7 bottles of red wine which could fit to our main course. He explained us the different tastes and finally we choosed a wine from the Douro valley from 2008. Excellent choice, I must say. Finally with aperitif, starter, main course, dessert and a bottle of wine and espressi, we had for 30 € per person, which is a very good price/quality rate. To find this restaurant you will need fried from there or a good GPS, otherwise it would be difficult to find it. Finally, the restaurant was flexible, the kitchen adapted their tempo to ours, and that deserves the 5th bullet.
