“Couldn't have been better.”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

We rented an apartment for a long weekend. Everything was perfect, from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed with a glass of port and some orientation from reception staff.
All of the staff we encountered were absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We had excellent restaurant recommendations which all turned out to be amazing.
The apartment was enormous, over 2 levels with lovely views over to cathedral from our bedroom balcony, it was ridiculously good value considering the cost.
When we return to Porto, which we will because it is an amazing city, we will most certainly stay here again.
Do not hesitate to choose this place to stay in Porto.

Room Tip: The duplex apartment we stayed in was brilliant.

We visited as a party of 4 adults. We had an extremely warm welcome. The staff gave us very detailed suggestions of where to go and eat. Most of these we followed but as a very fussy family of eaters we deviated somewhat on the restaurant suggestions.
The whole weekend was fabulous with plenty to do and see.
The hotel was extremely clean and accommodating and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
As a family we would thoroughly recommend this hotel

As previously discussed, steep cobbled streets and almost impossible to drive to without prior knowledge -and driving through reception into the car lift looks fun! Great staff, very welcoming with glass of port and detailed instructions with maps etc. Apartments clean, well-equipped, nice bath and good air-con. Mini-bar very reasonable -beer 1.5 euros, excellent. Easy walking to old town, and down to river and river-side restaurants. Don`t miss out on the port tastings over the river, we went to Offley`s, very good. {and others but somehow memory dims}.
Porto is a great place to visit, and would certainly stay here again.
{And not forgetting small complimentary bottle of port on leaving -a nice touch}

The staff here were extremely friendly and welcoming. The apartment was well appointed and they provided a baby cot for our son. Breakfast was included which was nice even thought the apartments are self-catering. The apartments are convenient to all sites but are accessed by some steep alleyways - pushing a push chair there was good for the fitness levels.

Great reception from Patricia. Well appointed rooms with extensive facilities. Parking to be experienced! Location right where you want to be. One of the friendliest hotels you will come across. Don't miss it if you visit Porto.

It is a great place to stay with unmatched hospitality. A special word for the reception staff, particularly Maria and Mario, who went the extra mile whenever a service was requested. The catering staff was also very good. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Location is excellent.

We had high expectations about this hotel, since we'd been there a couple of years ago and it was great. The first time we had a huge duplex with kitchen and living room downstairs and lovely big bedroom upstairs, very smartly appointed. But this time round -because the hotel was packed, so they said- we were given room 001, in the basement. This is a standard bedroom with a small kitchen and views to the...carpark. It was actually next to the famous car lift. There was nothing wrong with the room itself, it was simply disappointing. The staff is friendly and helpful as usual.
Breakfast is still served in the same cramped room with only 5 tables. However, one has the option of being served breakfast in the room, if you like that kind of thing. I don't. We saw the annex that is being currently work in progress at the other side of the courtyard. I must say it looks very nice and elegant, like a classical style villa. Maybe we'll return once it's completed, so we can get a nice new bedroom.

Room Tip: Ask not to be given a room in the basement, but a duplex looking to the courtyard.
