It is a delight to stay at this hotel. 'Hidden' from the outside, a real gem on the inside. Evertything is right. The reception is very nice. The welcome is very friendly. The rooms are beautiful and very well equiped.
Very nice and original design. Comfortable beds and bathroom!!!
We had the suite on the topfloor from wich a huge sliding door opened on a balcony and gave us a very nice view over the city.
When you are planning to stay in Porto, choose this hotel for a special experience!

Room Tip: The suite on the topfloor with the window on the backside is the best. Wake up with a view over Port...

There is not much to add to previous reviews. The hotel is great, location was perfect for us- who like to see things and walk around. The service was great, breakfast -very tasty ( they serve fresh orange juice.....mmmmmmmm ), our room was stylish and we had enough space for everything. The bed was extremely comfortable, and bed linen, towels were of high quality.
Book this hotel and you will never regret, but do that in advance, because they have only 6 rooms there.

Brilliant award winning design, very comfortable rooms with the right equipments to enjoy your stay, iPod music player, and Nespresso machine.
The guy in there will help you get around the city by giving you tips, and he will guide you by giving you a map of porto and tell you about the cool areas and what to do when, and I suggest you listen to him.
Location is awesome, 300 meters away from "Carolina Michaelis" the closest metro station, and 10 mins away from the bars area and the beginning of the beautiful old town, (the guy in the hotel will suggest some places to visit in the old town, you better go and take a look at them)
Breakfast is always fresh with fruits and yogurt and all the necessary items for nutrition.
The house is always clean, actually it is too clean.

I only had one problem that I couldn't find a place to unpack and put my stuff, but there was plenty of space in the room to scatter my belongings.

Tito was wonderful, he helped us find our way around Porto - guided us to sights, buses, the beach and a great restaurant. This hotel was felt like a little discovery in the middle of an otherwise uninteresting neighborhood, and about a 15 minute walk to the heart of the old city as well as a bus ride to the beach. It was very clean, had a wonderful breakfast which we enjoyed in the backyard each morning. The room we were in was well designed (very interesting), nice bathroom and comfortable bed - it was a tad small.
It was a nice retreat with a good "living room" common space and a lovely outside patio. We were in Porto for a short period and over a weekend - so staying here we felt a bit to removed. However, as I said - Tito was extremely helpful in directing us.

Do not hesitate if you discover this hotel and just book it. The architecture is overwelming and In my opinion the nicest place in Porto. If you are looking for things to do/going out for dinner just ask Tito and your day/evening will be a succes.

Fantastic place to stay. Well designed and chic. On a non descript street but no so far from main sights around porto. Great hosts. Amazingly comfortable beds and linens. Stay here if you want to experience the uber cool design in a totally unique one of a kind hotel.

Casa do Conto is both an amazing architectural statement as well as a comfortable B & B. It's an older building that has been restored with great thought and care. The architect clearly was riffing on Casa da Musica (http://www.casadamusica.com/) in her design.

This was the most interesting and unusual place we stayed during our two-week trip to Portugal in May. Each design element was thoughtfully chosen to integrate with the whole. Around every corner there was something new to discover, something to appreciate. If you like modern architecture, you will be delighted and awed by Casa do Conto.

The rooms are enormous, the beds extremely comfortable, the bathrooms clean and functional. Our room looked out over the yard and it was very peaceful--no street noise at all. There is a lovely breakfast room that opens up onto the yard. The breakfast offers fresh and healthy fare with nice variety.

Though not in the center of the city, it's only a 5 euro cab ride to the downtown area.
Tito, the manager, was incredibly helpful, funny and always available with a restaurant recommendation, transportation information or a map. He was genuinely interested in making our stay pleasant.

I highly recommend Casa do Conto. It's magical.

Room Tip: All six suites are lovely. I don't think there's a bad choice here.
