“Nice train station with blue tiles”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

It is a very nice building, I only saw it from the outside. It has the classic blue tiles on the wall, the ones you see often in Porto. The surrounding buildings are also nice, the area is well worth a visit on foot.

“Amazing inside”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 via mobile

The time work inside this building is well worth a visit. As a functioning trading station it is relatively clean and easy to use to depart both short and long distance.

“Picturesque railway station entrance”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

The entrance walls are covered by tiles telling Portugese historical stories. Beyond this entrance you can find the train platforms, quite small to average size and quantity.
I used this station traveling to Regua city along the Douro river, two hours and almost 10 Euros per person per direction. From here there is an easy and short walk to the Cathedrale of Porto or to the other side towards the city hall building and central streets of Porto center.

“Wonderful tiles”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

One of the most beautiful train stations I've ever seen. You'll find there one of the most impressive art work using tiles. They show the most important moments of Portuguese history, in white and blue, full of amazing details. On top you have other tiles that show you the evolution of the means of transportation through the centuries. Don´t come to Porto without going there.

“Elegant Station”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

Hard to believe this is a train station,it looks more like a classy hotel. It belongs to a bygone era of elegance. Glad that it still there for all to see, well worth a peek even if not planning to catch a train.
