“Great hotel & good service”
Reviewed 6 September 2010

We organised with football club KRC Genk a 3-day package for management, press and sponsors for the UEFA Europa League of KRC Genk against FC Porto. Everyone loved to hotel. The outside does not represent the quality of the interior. The rooms are really great: large and with warm colours. Bathroom is fine. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant is also good. Service at the reception, bar and restaurant was fantastic. All 85 clients loved their stay. The hotel is located in the new business area of Porto, not on walking distance from the historic city centre. A taxi will cost 5-6 euro. We will work together with this hotek when we return to Porto!

With a pay-in-advance offer on the hotel's webpage, we received a luxurious room in this superb business hotel for only 70 euro per night. We were not disappointed.
Large, plush room, wonderful ambience, helpful desk staff.
Used the parking garage for about 12 euro/night.
Did not use restaurant or bar - both looked nice, including outdoor area.
A good walk or cheap taxi drive to tourist area.

If it wasn't for this hotel I would not have enjoyed our tour of Portugal. We were able to relax as well as sight-see. We had a great time in Porto and the returning to the hotel helped.

This is a great hotel (although i would say it's 4* and not 5*). Breakfast was superb, staff was *very* helpful, rooms were great and overall we were very happy. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitly come back. The location is somewhat far away from the city center though.

On a recent business trip to Oporto, I stayed in the Park Hotel for 2 days. The park hotel is a great five star hotel at a reasonable price. The rooms are quite big (see pictures) and are equipped with a large kingsize bed, a desk and a flat-screen TV. The furniture gives the room a luxurious touch. The bathroom is big and all necessary amenities like tooth brush and so on are provided. Our meetings took place in one of the conferences on the first floor. The hotel provided all necessary equipment such as a beamer, laptop, etc. On top we were able to order some kind of working lunch that was served right in front of the conference room. For dinner we decided to eat outside so I cannot comment on the dinning-opportunities. We did have breakfast in the morning though, which definitely exceeded my expectations. The breakfast included cold and hot items. Besides bread and cereals the breakfast includes lots of fresh fruit. The location is ok. Unfortunately it is about a 15 minute walk to the river. So if you want to enjoy some port wine at night sitting outside by the river you may need to take a taxi or want to look out for a hotel closer to the old part of town. But if you are in Oporto mainly because of business I can recommend this hotel without reservation.

From the moment we checked in and were offered a welcome glass of port , to the moment we (sadly) had to leave 4 days later, we felt pampered, but not in an overpowering way. The staff were friendly but very professional, on hand to offer advice and help, but not in an intrusive way.
I was astonished that Ana on reception remembered my name when I said goodbye to her!
The breakfast, as previous reviews have said, is brilliant, the best I've ever had, and I liked the fact that it was available from 7 to 10.30.
We ate in the bar one night, and that food was also very good, as was the service.
There are also a few lovely restaurants close by, across the road. We ate in a Portuguese one night and Japanese another night.
The local bus 102 was a good service to the town- we didn't use the Metro cos we didn't want to be underground. Also the sightseeing bus stops at the hotel on the way out of town. It also goes from the hotel to the beach area, but not back.
The only fault I could find is in the housekeeping - behind the bedside table was quite dusty, and you don't expect this in a 5*. Also, only one set of toiletries for a twin room.
I hope to return to Porto and will definitely stay at this hotel again.
