I was taken back by a review from someone who had a bad experience and advised everyone not to stay there. Whatever happened to him I do not want to know, our experience was the opposite: a wonderful location close to the Atlantic, with a fabulous view from the rooftop restaurant. Also the room was great and service ok. We had also dinner one eve in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. It is easy to get to Porto with bus 500 ( 15 minutes), but you can also rent a bike or just walk, like we did" a pleasant walk of an hour along the Douro river.
