“quiet, pleasant, with a zest of sophistication”
Reviewed 18 October 2012

Armazém do caffe is a very pleasant place in a strategic location. If you're headed to the Ribeira (the Douro river waterfront) something you're bound to do a few times during your visit to Porto, you'll find it on your right hand side shortly after the old S.Bento railway station and right before the monumental fountain. Have a peak into the ambiance of this nice place because when you come back to the upper town centre you'll need a break and the Armazem is just what you need. Great setting and atmosphere, quiet, pleasant, with a zest of sophistication. You'll find great service and a choice of light meals, snacks and pastries. Enjoy.

“Unpretentiously delicious”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

We had just checked-in at Teatro Hotel and were in a hurry to meet our 'segway tour' group so instead of lunch we decided to stop for a quick snack only. A few steps away from the hotel we found this unpretentious Caffé. We tought we'd just find some muffins and croissaints, but the menu was variate with quick dishes like Lombo com Laranja (pork with orange), Tranches Pescada (fish with vegetables) and even tender/juicy burgers ... I had the 'Francesinha' (little French) supposely a very tipical sandwich on that area of Portugal and it was just great: melted cheese with shrimp, sausage and beef. It sounds heavy and greasy, but for real it was a very delicate and delicious meal. The manager (Paula) recomended and it was as fresh, good and fast as promissed.
