Modern luxury hotel with lots of natural light and elegant decor. Good bedroom at the end of a corridor, specifically requested for peace and quiet. Big comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with walk-in shower and large bath. There is only a small indoor swimming pool located in the spa complex on the lower ground floor with no sunbathing area or direct access to garden, which was disappointing.
An extensive choice for the continental breakfast at Euro 15.50 with full breakfast costing Euro 22.00. Service was friendly and the coffee exceedingly good. There is no option to breakfast elsewhere as the location is primarily residential/business and the area is suprisingly lacking in cafes or shops. You need to travel into Oporto's historic centre/Cais Ribeira riverside for restaurants and bars - 6 stops on the efficient Metro or take taxis, which are reasonably priced.
The reception appeared to be understaffed at busy hours.

Room Tip: It is probably quieter at the back or the hotel and away from the lifts, but the location is very qu...

A new, beautiful hotel in Porto, easy to get to with the Metro and perfect for a quick trip to Porto. For a tourist, the location is quite far away from the historic centre, river and Port houses / but it is well communicated and taxis are cheap. The rooms are excellent, so is the spa and breakfast in the morning in wonderful. Highly recommended. Only complaint / wish there was free water in the rooms.

Room Tip: Avoid the smoking floors.

I spent 6 nights in a club room at this very modern hotel. The lobby is very large and gleeming with super fast glass elevators. The room was quite large, comfortable and attractive. I especially appreciated the club lounge, which had wine, alcohol and refreshments all day, and hot snacks during the cocktail hour. The bathroom was beautiful, with a large tub. The main negative is the neighborhood - not many restaurants and quite rundown. However, there is an excellent metro about a 15 minute walk away, that gets you into the historic area within 1/2 hour. Another negative is the 19 euro/day charge for internet in the room, but you can access the internet for free in the lobby and club lounge. Otherwise, this is an excellent hotel. Nice staff.

The property has an excellant location in that it is very quiet and great for rest. No bust streets near by yet it is close enough to get by short cab ride to just about anyplace. Several airlines have been seen resting their crews here, so you know it is good. Food is great at breakfast and the loun ge at the 12th floor has just about anything you might want to snack on or drink between meals.

Staff is very friendly and professional!

Room Tip: All rooms are equally quiet and have adaqate airconditioning.

When I booked this hotel, I was leary as sometimes Sheratons leave a lot to be desired. I had nothing to worry about here. The hotel was very modern, the staff were most accomodating, the room was beyond comfortable, and the amenities were perfect. The restaurant in the hotel had a good food selection that was delicious. The hotel bar also turned into a lounge in the evening with live musicians, which was helpful given the location was mostly residential.

The positive concerning the location is that it was in a residential area that is quiet and feels safe. The location does offer easy access east to the beach and south to the port wine warehouses but is not actually near either. If you are touring, the various tourbuses stop just around the corner from the hotel.

If back in Porto, I will definitely try to stay in this hotel.

I was surprised of this hotel ,very clean , staff where very helpful and with great service. This is a top quality hotel compared with others of this caliber - very modern, very clean with all the amenities.True the b amazing glass elevators provides an elegant touch. The bathroom has high tech features - huge soaking tub and a separate shower (water pressure was okay). The beds were ok not a heavenly bed but standard for Europe hotels. Location: The location is a business district far from the city. We had the advantage that we had a private tour guide that pick us up every day. The only disadvantage we found was that there was no quality restaurants near buy.The Hotel restaurant fancy but to expensive not suprised of this feature. Overall, very good hotel. I would recommend this hotel, but you have to be ready to take cabs everywhere based on the location.

I'm used to Sheraton's in the US, which honestly are not my first choice of hotels, so when I arrived at the Sheraton in Porto, I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. This is a top quality hotel- very modern, very clean with all the amenities. The best part (and I know this sounds silly), but they had amazing glass elevators which gave you a very cool view of the hotel as you were going up. From an architecture standpoint, this hotel was very cool.

Rooms: Very clean. We were upgraded to a suite, so the room was huge. The bathroom was awesome- huge soaking tub and a separate shower (water pressure was okay). The beds were very firm, not what I like, but standard for Europe hotels.

Location: The location is less than ideal. It's a far walk from the center of town, the water and any tourist attractions. I was disappointed that this hotel was so far off the beaten path- at least for leisure travel. Not sure if this is a good location for business. You definitely need to take cabs to any place you want to be.

Service: The staff was very attentive, very knowledgable and always helpful. We were always greeted with a smile.

Overall, very good hotel. I would recommend this hotel, but you have to be ready to take cabs everywhere based on the location.
