“Absolutely perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

I am a (rather) frequent traveller for work and leisure and rarely I experienced such kind of hotel.
The hotel is just few step from the center of the city and well connected with the public transportation system
The rooms are clean and contain all the needs including a perfect air-conditioning system and a good degree of noise isolation.
The quality of sleeping is superbe and they have a pillow-menu too !
The breakfast is at very high levels.

And (most important) the personnel was warmly available for any questions/problems.

I find the hotel trough trip-advisor but I would have never imagined that the enthusiastic descriptions were so true.

You are in the "old" district but away from bustle by the river. Our room was facing the street, small but very comfortable. Bed and pillows made for a good night sleep. Very nice people, helpful. Would come back! . I did not eat in hotel, several places nearby for a good breakfast. Hotel staff are very helpful to assist in nearby restaurants.

Room Tip: Our room on the front side was small but very comfortable, if you want larger rooms, ask for the new...

This hotel is well located, a short walk from the city center. Very kind and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel offers a "pillow menu" and you can choose your pillow! I would be happy to stay there again! Breakfast is included and it's more than I could imagine.

The test of a good hotel is whether you would be willing to stay there again, and I can certainly say that I would be happy to stay at the Eurostars Das Artes again. Our room was spacious and well proportioned, with decent wifi connections and a nice bathroom. Everything we needed. Breakfast was included and more than adequate. Bed and pillows a bit harder than I'm used to but I slept well.

Yes, it's a walk into town, but a pleasant walk, and there are a few restaurants in the vicinity, though you might need to book at the better ones to be sure of a table. Altogether a lovely stay and the staff were very helpful.

Things that I look for in a hotel - Location, ease of getting there, cleaniness, breakfast, bathroom, quality of sleep and Service. Starting form the beginning, getting there. We decided to get the bus as opposed to a taxi so we walked out of arrivals followed the bus signs and crossed the road to the 601/602 bus stop. A ticket cost €1.85 for a single journey, we got the next bus which was the 601 and the Hospital Geral de Santo António was the second last stop(bus helpfully flashes next stop up so you can press Stop). Now a tip, once we got off the bus don't do what we did and see the hotel sign across the road and follow it. This is only for drivers because of a one way street system. Instead, as you get off the bus walk to the back of the bus and go straight up the road facing you. You'll save your self 10 minutes extra, especially if you have big bags. Although this lil detour meant we realised we were near alot decent restaurants that had alot of locals present. It is easy to walk by the hotel as the exterior isn't that imposing. Reception were welcoming and very helpful. We had a twin room and the beds while two were pushed together, probably for ease to change into a double, it didn't bother us and I'm sure if it had housekeeping would have fixed it. The room was a good size and clean. The TV had some English channels from 15 upwards. The bathroom was a good size, toiletries were nice, but there was one thing to note, the shower was very powerful which was great except three minutes into the shower, the shower head moved and ended up soaking the floor a little. So a tip, don't put it at full strength, just below it still gives you a great strong shower. Quality of sleep, there's a cock that likes to crow at around 5 in the morning, it didn't bother me but it woke my friend up. The beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in. Breakfast was good, it was a buffet, some of the placings of the food was a bit disjointed but I liked the choices. The hotel was near some nightspots and while it is up hill from the river and the sights around there, nothing seemed that far away of a walk and tour buses collect from the end of the road. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others.

We just stayed for a couple a nights, but I must say this hotel when above my expectations. Nice and clean room, with a lot of light, sober decoration and a small balcony. Very friendly staff. A short walk way from the city center.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Can't fault that or the cleanliness of the hotel. Sadly, it is a tad far for a walk into town every time. Porto itself is a very "hilly" city.

Irrespective of the that minor issue, the hotel can't be faulted in my opinion. Definitely recommended.
