Description: Very Important. It is necessary to reserve a table every day in advance. The cellar of the villa is a small but cozy restaurant, where you can find the best of Portuguese cuisine, good meat, good sausage, good seafood, good cheese and fine wines. The fact that it allows a small family-type care near where guests feel almost at home. The Adega da Vila's decor is very typical wine honors the traditions and Portuguese.

“What a Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

This resturant is MUST visit while in this city. Alvaro is so passionate about his resturant and the quality of his food and the wine. We had a fabulous time there and such reasonable prices we only wished we had more time so we could come to a fado music night they sound so wonderful. Thanks again Peter and Janet (Aust)

“Friendly and relaxed dining”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

I could not have had a better first food experience in Portugal. As the first guest of the evening I was treated with excellent service, good choice of tapas dishes and a very friendly and relaxed dining experience. If I ever have the chance to visit this little town again I would make sure to come back to this place again.

“Portuguese foodie heaven”
Reviewed 10 October 2013 via mobile

Wonderful wine bar with 'small plates' so you can try the full range of Northern Portuguese foods, from the obvious (cured ham, cheese, octopus) to the novel (mixed meat and bread sausages) to the slightly brave (tripe with beans). We loved it all and also loved hearing from the proprietor how he had selected each item from each supplier. Really good wine list too. A must if you visit this town.
