Pierre made our stay comfortable and welcoming. We arrived several hours earlier than he had anticipated, but he was able to help with our bags (there is no lift and steep stairs) and then invited us for tea and biscuits while we settled the formalities. He always had great and often very funny stories to tell, and even got up at 5am on our last day to give us breakfast and coffee as we had an early train to catch. Beware that the upstairs does get hot and stuffy at night, especially the top room. The only negative we could think of was that the breakfast consisted of a croissant and bread roll with jam - some variation or some fruit/yoghurt would have been nice. To be honest though, if we had complained, Pierre would probably have popped out to the shop and brought some back! He even showed us the way to the laundromat one day (just round the corner). Very good time, and would definitely go back and recommend to anyone. Metro is close, less than 10 mins up a small hill. Thank you Pierre - we won't forget your hospitality. Jennifer and Yana.
