Hotel BLOOM!
Reviewed 22 September 2012

had a weekend in Brussels with my daughter, we wanted somewhere cheap, cheeful and handy for the eurostar, this hotel ticked all the boxes. Easy metro from the eurostar station (Midi), very handy for busses and trams too, with about a 5 minute walk to a selection of shops and places to eat.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We did not have the hotel breakfast as that did seem a bit on the expensive side (probably the only negative).

Loved the hotel and loved Brussels

I stayed at Bloom a couple of weeks ago and found it to be very nice in relation to the price (EUR 65). I couldnt care less about its advertised "hippness",but found it to be nice and clean at a good location. Only downside I can remember is that breakfest was not included. While there is a nice buffet it turned out to be very pricy.

We had a 2 days meeting in Hotel Bloom. The interior is contemporary and inspiring. All facilities were available - free wifi worked! Break and Lunch catering are good - amazing shrimp sandwiches according to some of my colleagues. The room was very large and with great design. Downside: no open windows or 'outside' area and in a dusty and busy street. We took a coffee break in the Botanique, at 100m from the location.

I stayed here with my wife for 4 nights, the staff were extremely attentive, and the room was excellent - especially the large bed. We found it very easy to walk into the city centre and had no concerns walking back at night. Breakfast was expensive at €25 each, but the Carrefour Express across the street allowed us to get our own breakfast at a fraction of the price. I have already recommended this hotel to some friends.

Hotel Bloom was perfect for us. We stayed there for 2 nights and really appreciated the options. The room rate was economical, especially considering the room which was spacious and uniquely designed. A beautiful mural by a young artist, king size comfortable bed, convenient location. While there is noise from the street, we could close the windows and the heavier drapes and this softens the sounds. The staff were friendly and helpful and the convenience of the bar and the "design your own pasta or salad" feature worked well. The breakfast buffet is inordinately expensive but again we had choices - pay the extra cost [in which case the room is no longer economical but more in the range of other hotels] and enjoy a large buffet breakfast or go elsewhere. The ability to fine tune our experience added to the enjoyment.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a higher floor if you can and this will help to cut back on the noise. A king size...

Went as a couple for a birthday city break for a few days. We asked for a rear-building room as we had seen several reviews talking about noise at the front. The disappointment comes from the fact that each morning we were awoken before 9am by bathroom renovations taking places in both rooms opposite ours and the one next door. We spoke to reception, who consequently must have spoken to the builders to stop, albeit for exactly one hour. This occurred on all three mornings, and on the last of which the builders did not stop despite us calling reception 3 times. This tainted what was otherwise a distinctly average service. Will not stay again

Room Tip: ask for buildings at the rear, and ensure there is no renovation work going on
