“Good location but unrecognizable Brussels hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2012

All hotels in Brussels are living from business and official travelers in weekdays. And that drives prices in unreasonable level up and service down.
This Hilton hotel is another bad Brussels example. My room was small and unpleasant as well as the bathroom. It was not well kept and looked somewhat dirty.

The breakfast was good Hilton standard. The lobby reminded me a hotel next to the railway station. I would hesitate to come back.

Room Tip: Check the room until you accept it.

As first time visitors to Brussels we were pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was after reading many of the reviews. We highly recommend you book a deluxe king room with the package deal that includes Internet and breakfast. Our room was spacious and faced Rogier Square. The front reception staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The location is also perfect. The shopping mall is across the street and it is an easy 20 minute walk to the Grand Place square and many outdoor cafe restaurants. The hop on hop off bus pick up spot is across the square. Breakfast each morning was substantial with a nice selection of hot and cold items on the buffet. The hotel decor is contemporary with some funky furniture in the common areas and wonderful black and white photos throughout the hotel including the guest rooms. The hotel provides daily newspapers outside the breakfast room as well as coffee to go. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel especially since our last Hilton hotel stay in Boston left much to be desired. Book a deluxe room and you will not be disappointed - you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Book a deluxe room with a package deal that includes Internet and breakfast

I stayed in this hotel during summer time. Very near to central places and few of the amazing night clubs of Brussels. The staff was very helpful and they guided me very well to take a tour. The various collection of tea will always make you stop before you leave or come to hotel (Too good !!). Before you want to use lobby's washroom don't forget to ask for card from reception haha. Cheers

Room Tip: The road side view is good but hardly makes any difference.

We spent one night at this property in early June using Honors point. Room was on Honors floor supposely to appreciate their Club members??
Room was small for even a European property. The real "stunner" was the bathroom. Also incredibly small but was wired for lights to come on when entered. No manual switch available. Only issue with this 'convenience" was that the room is fully tiled in high reflective white tiles and mirrors. Lighting came from what had to be a 1000 watt halogen fixture over sink. Consider the stunning experience when you venture to the bathroom in the middle of the night and face this 1000 watt experience! Has to be one of the worst thought out conveniences possible. Also no socket in the bath for spouse to plug her curling iron--had to use one at desk in room where there were no mirrors. I can only hope guests paying full fare get better treatment. We are unlikely to use this property again.

travelling a lot on business, i stay in a lot of hotels and this one is very tired. One word - bland. The staff are good but it does not make up for a bit of a shabby hotel. Won't bother again.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the central rooms as there is no natural light

The hotel is well located near most of the main attractions. I had reserved a room with a king bed but there was none available so was provided with a VERY small room with a queen size bed. I appreciate the fact that it is a major European city and space is a premimum but this room was small! The staff were less than enthusiastic and seemed to be pre-occupied. In the future I would probably use the Crown Plaza which is next door.

This hotel has clearly been refurbished recently. The rooms were really good. I was upgraded to a deluxe room, which was very spacious, had a nice king bed, big sofa and was generally well furnished and finished.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. the general atmosphere of the hotel was good. There is a nice bar downstairs (though incredibly expensive - €8 for a bottle of pellegrino).

There is fast WiFi in the rooms, which is free to honours gold and diamond, but is €27 a day otherwise (Get used to it, the whole of Brussels seems to be extortionate).

The breakfast was very good, and comprehensive. The only markdown again is the price (€30). Fortunately breakfast is free for honours Gold and Diamond.

If I didn't have elite honours status then I would probably look to stay elsewhere as all the extras make this hotel incredibly overpriced. (That being said, you might not find anywhere else cheaper).

The location is good, at the north of the central district, right next to the main shopping street and adjacent to a metro station.
