Stayed here with a travelzoo deal where you got a standard double room but could upgrade at check-in if there were rooms available. Even though we there before 11am though they had no upgrades which is a shame as their standard double is quite small for a couple - bed, desk to the side and small en-suite to the side next to the wardrobe. It was also boiling hot meaning we had to open up all windows and it was very noisy with the roads below. They had managed to sort the heat though by the following morning so the last two night were OK.

Breakfasts were pretty good I have to say - good base to go exploring and the location is EXCELLENT. Right outside the Metro station, across the road from the main shopping street which takes you down through town and to all the tourist sites and a 2min walk from Gare Du Nord to go to Ghent, Bruges etc.

Would recommend if it has bedroom deals on, if just for location but size and comfort-wise, not amazing.

A very enjoyable stay enhanced by helpful and pleasant staff. We opted for the eStandby Upgrade and were given a King Hilton Deluxe Room which was worth the extra €14 per night. It is close to the Gare Nord station and about a 20 minute gentle stroll to the Grand Place.

Let me start by saying the staff and in particular the night manager, was amazing and turned what could have been a trip ruining event into one of the best experiences I have had with a hotel staff. But more about that in a minute; first, the hotel is located just off the main shopping street and not too far from the red light district. A bit noisy and nice rooms but a little tight in spots. Within walking range of the Grand Place and the other city highlights. Close to some good eating places and despite construction around the hotel, easy to get around.

Now, back to the staff. We had parked in the underground garage and I went out the next day and discovered, on a Saturday night, my car driver's side window had been smashed in and my GPS, which was out of sight, stolen. Fortunately, the night manager was able to resolve it all in an amazing way, including having a mobile car window repair crew come out and replace it, within an hour and help me deal with the local Brussels city police. By the time we went to bed, everything was reported, replaced, and my insurance company working on the claim. The next day we were able to take our day trip to Brugge and the trip continued to be a great one, with even the sun shinning on all but one day of a four day weekend. Will definitely go back; service makes a difference.

Room Tip: Try to avoid ones on the street sides and back into the hotel for less street noise.

Well located, clean and efficient. As could be expected of a chain hotel you are not left with any distinguishing experience, but on the other hand no hiccups. As I have been required to write at least 200 characters I will reiterate that is works in a predictable and unremarkable way

Take care, some rooms are not suitable for renting. I stayed in room 818 with a very very small window. Rooms are already very tiny, the small window reinforces the claustrophic feeling. Although the reception gives the impression the hotel has been refurbished, rooms are not and give a 90ies feeling. Not recommended for staying, unless you really need this location. However, a Crowne Plaza and Sheraton are adjacent.

This is a good, solid property, convenient to the old town center and Grand Market Place. Comfortable beds and a very helpfull and attentive staff make this a stress free home away from home. The breakfast is somewhat limited in scope and dinner prices are a bit high, but not out of line with being a city center property. As is common here, transportation to and from the airport is your own problem, but train service will deposit you quite close to the hotel.

The Hilton Brussels is very welcoming and easy to get to from the North Station. Every single person we encountered at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, but one was simply extraordinary: mathijs soete. He went out of his way to make our visit special by allowing us to check in early, giving us breakfast vouchers because the room wasn't ready yet (9AM), an then giving us detailed directions for a walking tour of the city. He even told us the name of a couple of local favorite restaurants off the beaten path. He kept smiling and genuinely seemed to simply enjoy helping guests make the most of their trip. Every hotel needs a Mathijs!
The daily breakfasts were excellent and the reception area is bright and welcoming. Nice, new (but small) exercise area with coed steam and sauna--all clean and new.
My only complaint would be that the rooms are small and could be better lit. Small complaint. Would come back here in a minute.
