“They Ran Out of Hot Water!: Quirky but a Good Choice for Hhonors Elite”
Reviewed 15 December 2010

If you are are Hilton Gold or Diamond, or willing to pay for an upgrade, this is a good hotel but with quirks. As others have said, the standard rooms are claustrophobia, but with an elite upgrade you can get a very spacious one. At 30 Euro each the cost for breakfast and internet is outrageous, but again included for elite. Service at the restaurant can be uneven and slow, especially when they get busy. But the food is very good and a bargain if you get the "special", that is order the two or three course dinner. They have some very reasonably priced nice wines too. The rooms are clean and the bed is terrific! But a trace of mold in the bathroom is telling. I showered one morning about 8:30 AM and the hot water had been used up! A lukewarm shower is not the best way to start the day in the cold of winter. Also, the lights keep going off when you are in the shower or toilet. Annoying! The location in the center of everything is fantastic but construction across the street ruins the effect a bit. The staff generally tried to be helpful, but you get the sense there is a lot of turnover with many young staff forgetting things. As a business hotel it is generally very quiet, but most rooms have wooden floors, which amplify the early morning sounds of people getting ready for the day.

The Hilton Brussels City hotel is a typical hotel oriented to short-stay business travellers. The standard single room is very small, but tidy and clean. I loved the bed - it was very comfortable. Although the hotel is located in the city centre, there wasn´t much noise from the streets in the morning.
The bathroom was clean and everything needed was provided, so no complaints here.
Breakfast menu was typical Belgium-style (scrambles eggs, baked beans and mushrooms, chicken croquets, wide selection of bread and croissants, different varieties of ham and cheese, cereals and fruits etc), bus in quite good quality.
The location is good - near the Bruxelles-Nord station and the Place Rogier.
The staff was friendly and polite.
Unfortunately there´s no free WiFi in the rooms and Internet connection is quite pricy when you need just to check your e-mails.
So overall experience is very OK hotel to stay while on short business trips. I would not choose the Hilton Brussels City for my leisure travels, but for 1-2 nights it is nice.

Perfectly average tight city hotel with small rooms, making the best use of the space they have. It is in a good location for city activities, close to shopping and a train station. The fitness center was nice. The staff were all very friendly and ready to help. As is the trend it seems lately with 4 or 5 star options there is an additional charge for virtually everything you might do.

The location is 4 blocks south of Gare noord, right next to Metro Rogier. The maps make Brussels seem bigger then it is, all sites (except the atomium- which is 3 block from the Heysel metro stop) can be walked to. The breakfast buffet is huge, the service is great, and the rooms are big for Europe. There is a hairdyer, iron, safe and coffe pot in the rooms. I would recommend this hotel for business or leisure travel. Hilton's always provide a little bit of "home" when you travel abroad.

Stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised given the other reports. Everything about the stay was good. The location is close to the station which makes transfer from the airport so easy. Don't bother with a taxi when you can get the train for €5.10. It is also quicker than the taxi, especially at peak times. It is also only a 10 min walk from Grand Place and the tourist area.
Room was very spacious and very well appointed. Breakfast was included in the price of €100 and was a typical Hilton breakfast with hot and cold food. Didn't use the bar or restaurant as there are lots of places to eat within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

If you are expecting to stay in a Hilton hotel: this is not. The rooms are extremely small, dark, with small defects, noisy installations (central heating or air handling, we do not know what it was).
The location is pretty central, but at night we did not feel comfortable because of the type of people in the area.
The breakfast was excellent.
