This is not a luxury hotel however it is central and easy to find. The rooms are dated - the lift says that it was installed in 1992 and I would guess that no improvements have been made to the rest of the décor since this date. This said the bed linen and towels were clean and replaced daily. Yes the carpets are somewhat stained but I would not be happy to spend an extra £100 a night just for a nice carpet in the same area of town. The breakfast was great both a continental option and a Chinese one with noodles??!!?? Overall a great price for a central hotel - ideal for people that would rather spend their money out and about rather than sit in a posh room.

this hotel is in need of a major refurbishment so would not deem suitable for families or people looking for luxury. However if travelling as a group of men it is ideally situated next to GARE DU NORD STATION and good access to city centre by train or metro and also unlikely to be bothered by being situated next to red light district.
Breakfast is continental buffet including chinese noodles if desired.
Rooms are large with en suite facilities but very poor selection of tv channels-so do not stay here if wanting to spend time watching tv in room.
Price very reasonable for area situated.

It was ideal for our needs as we were two males on a short trip to watch football. The staff were all very pleasant although the overall decor is in need of serious upgrade. Typical european buffet breakfast which was better than some I have encountered before and was constantly refreshed.
Would visit again under same circumstances but unfortunately not with a female partner.

We appreciated their staff discretion, the same about their breakfast (that is a good tasty interesting one, but NOT "american breakfast" as we were informed at booking time. We understand that their hotel location is not the very best in the town, but the hotel choice belonged to us at all...

After we had booked to stay here I read some reviews on the net. I was a bit dubious about staying, but this was cast aside once we got there! Stayed 4 nights in a twin room on the 4th floor. Sure, the hotel is a bit old, but you can't expect to pay such reasonable prices and get a 5 star experience (it is a 3 star hotel - as stated on the sign outside). The room has a separate toilet which we found useful if someone was using the bathroom as two of us shared the room. The bathroom had a bathtub with a shower over, a hairdryer and sink. Housekeeping came every day, although we didn't need it more than once as we didn't spend much time in the room, seeing as we were there to see Brussels, not 4 wall all day. There was a fridge in the room, a TV, a trouser press, a phone, a chair to the desk and a table with two further chairs. it was a very spacious room! Breakfast was from 7am - 10am next to reception. There was a lot of choice for a continental breakfast we found. The hotel also has a bar, which is a very nice area although we didn't use it. The location is very good - just 2mins from Gare Du Nord. We (being 2 women) had no problems walking back at night (up to midnight) even though the area does look slightly dodgy. Overall we loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly too.

This hotel is in 15 min walk from Gand Place and few steps away from North Station of Brussels. Good location but hotel is calling for refurbishing. Once again it proves, that you get what you pay for.
