No wifi and only one internet computer in the whole hotel. No food after breakfast. Rooms are basic and noisy with the window open. I was not impressed. J

Got taken to Brussels for a weekend city break. Was completely ruined by staying at this hotel. We had out camera and money stolen from within the hotel room. The manager showed no concern or provided any help. He ws rude and so were staff. the camera and money isn't the problem, I couldn't stop stirring over the bad customer service all weekend.

It is just a pity that one is not able to give this place a minus rating - it was just awful from walking through the door into the reception. We were kept waiting 15, yes 15, minutes to check in while the receptionist dealt with another customer and did not even acknowledge our existence. You want breakfast, well I suggest that you don't have it here, it will cost you 20 Euros per person, yes that's what I said 20 Euros per person. You want a coffee in your room, there is indeed the facility for it, but it will cost you 3 Euros (OUTRAGEOUS!)

It really is such a shame that this hotel is so badly run, because it is really quite nice, and is in a great location for exploring Brussels. My personal rating of this hotel - well, put simply, I would rather have stayed in a tent! Give it a very wide berth indeed.

I stayed here for two nights and had a very pleasant stay. My room was very comfortable and very good value for Brussels. I had a small problem with the internet cable but the staff helped me (and €10 for a day's surfing is very good for a Western European hotel). Breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate (again, €20 is pretty good for Brussels). The bar is a little dingy but fine for a couple of drinks before going out (or when returning lubricated).

The downsides? It doesn't have a restaurant, so you'll have to find somewhere to have dinner - that's not a great problem. Location isn't central - it's very near Noord station, which is great for getting to the airport or Zuid/Midi station for Eurostar and Thalys trains - so it's a ten- to fifteen-minute walk to Grand Place.

I'll happily stay there on my next visit.

After 14 hours travelling, I finally arrived tired and fed up, when I went to check in after waiting several minutes to be let in the security entrance I had to fill out an extensive form - considering the hotel already had most of this information from my online reservation, can they not enter it into their system prior to my arrival? Once checked in I was told where Breakfast is served and where the Bar is, but not that I needed to put my key in the reader in the lift in order to go to a floor, or that I need to put my key in the reader in the bedroom to get lights and power to the sockets!

The bedroom was clean and smart with a safe, but a single bed?! One empty socket which was clearly blown, the minibar although well stocked was warm and the prices extortionate. An expresso machine, great I thought until I spotted the very small print telling me that it is 3 Euros a pod! The advertised high speed internet was not available.

Breakfast was enjoyable, a cold buffet with the exception of scrambled eggs, but certainly not worth anywhere near 20 Euros.

The location is superb for local shops and travel connections.

Room was nice - clean and modern. Location is good. However, first problem was trying to use advertised hi-speed internet. I had to "hire" a cable, which means they turn on the connection for your room, at a fixed 10Euro per night charge and the service is really slow. Apparently, there is free wifi in reception, but I couldn't access and no assistance was available to help. Coffee machine in room (Nespresso) - only 3euro per pod!!! Everything else has a price on it as well (apart from the soap). The gym was excellent though (and free) which sort of didn't make sense.

There is also a security aspect here which is unsettling - front door is locked, staff are really slow to open, you need a card for the lift, etc.

I just didn't feel there was any attempt at service.

For business people, probably ok. However, a really nice potential hotel is let down by the complete lack of service by the hotel.

The hotel was nearly empty, even though I was given a tiny room, with 50cm each side of the bed.

On Saturday morning the hotel breakfast room was closed, but as this hotel is linked with The Hotel des Colonies a cheaper hotel, I had to have breakfast in Hotel des Colonies' breakfast room. Coffee was from a self service machine, just unexpected from a 5stars hotel!

The location is convenient for the fair, but very urban and drab, the environment lacks atmosphere. No site of any nice restaurant at walking distance.
