The house is incredible, with huge rooms, and impressive modern bathrooms. The pool and the views surrounding were beautiful. The area is very quiet and tranquil, but less than an hour to the sea, and other places of interest. Would highly recommend for families, or groups of friends.
We stayed at La Braia Villa for 5 nights and decided that we must come back soon as although newly developed, all the ingredients are there for a most relaxed holiday. House is extremely well appointed with separate large bathrooms for each bedroom, massive kitchen and dining area as well as a comfy living room. Bedrooms are generously spacious. The outside areas are beautifully landscaped and the pool is superb with inviting and quality lounge chairs seducing you to lie and contemplate whilst you soak up the Tuscan sun.
The owners were there in one of the other houses during our stay so we learnt a little about the history of this secluded little hamlet above the Village of Licciana Nardi and the surrounding Appennini and Alpi Apuane mountains which provide a spectacular backdrop in the stunning views from which you can barely escape. So quiet and only birdsong to hear when you wake in the mornings. Hard to believe there is so much wilderness within such easy reach.
Activity options were also surprisingly varied and numerous. Beach only 30 minutes away at Lerici, Gorgeous Cinque Terre not much further. Day trips to Lucca, Florence and Genoa are all an easy hop. Closer to home, walks around the local area reveal plenty of cute little villages many with their own little castles. Thanks to the owners, we received plenty of excellent restaurant recommendations and were glad of the great walks to work off the many delicious meals. I found myself also eyeing off the quiet local roads for my cycling club’s next big Italian adventure. With 3 villas in the group overall, plenty of room for everyone. Good tarmac roads and varied terrain including some great mountain roads. The mountain bikers would have a ball too in the smaller forest tracks.
You need a car to make the most of this wonderful location. Highly recommended.
This villa is ideal for a family or couple/group getaway. Located in the hills of Tuscany, the views are breath-taking. The villa itself is modern yet in keeping with the Italian charm and the pool area is idyllic. This villa would also be perfect for any event, such as a wedding. I would 100% recommend!
Beautiful location - completely peaceful and remote with stunning views.
The properties are beautifully finished with great care and finesse.
Close enough for day trips to Lucca and the sea.
We stayed here with friends towards the end of May and had a wonderful time. The houses have been newly renovated but have retained their original features with the added bonus of all the mod-cons.
The views from every room are spectacular, the outdoor area and pool where particularly fantastic and the gardens are beautiful. The pizza oven was definitely a big hit with the kids (buy the fresh pizza dough, don’t bother making from scratch).
There’s also a Boulles court, which kept both kids and adults (especially after a few glasses of local wine) entertained most evenings.
We all arrived at different times but the owner was there to meet each couple as they arrived, which was a nice touch.
We would definitely recommend staying at Braia, and are already talking about returning in 2019.
A wonderful property. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The views are just stunning! Highly recommended.
