This villa is on the south finger at Jolly Harbour and only a 3 or 4 minute walk to the beach. It is well furnished and has comfortable beds, but the interior is not ultra-modern like some of the villas. However, this is reflected in the (relatively) low price.
There is a supermarket with all you need at prices that are only a little higher than the UK, It is about half a mile from the villa so you may need transport, especially for heavy items like bottled water.
You can hire golf carts to get around Jolly Harbour, and, for not much more, you can hire a car and get to see more of the island.
The beach is fantastic, with soft white sand and turquois water. If you turn to your right and walk beyond the two beach restaurants, where most of the cruise ship passengers on day trips go, it is less crowded. You can get a couple of sun beds and an umbrella for 25 EC dollars, although, if they think you are from a cruise, they will ask for 50. It is best to ignore the people offering beds; just find ones that you like and then pay when asked.
The only slight negative I can report is that when we enquired with the agency (TT Villas) about checking out at 3.00pm instead of at noon (having already established that the villa would be empty for a few days) we were told there would be a charge of 75 US dollars. We thought that was OTT and declined.
The location is good. There is a large grocery store on premises, great beach. Pretty much self contained.
