If you want to have real rainforest adventure, don‘t miss this tour. Montserrat is a wonderfull green, idyllic and many-sided island with kind and super friendly people that can tell you a lot about the island. In the morning we had a hike through the incredible nature of Montserrat where I had the chance to see so much exotic plants and fruits I have never seen before in my life! Also very impressing was the destroyed city of Plymouth, which we was able to explore after a delicious lunch time with local food. All in all everything was well coordinated. I can highly recommend it and will definitely come back again.
See you soon, Montserrat!

For the hiking portion of the day - our hike leader, "Pie", did an excellent job. He was very informative and interactive with the group of 6 . The first segment of the hike is uphill on a reasonably open trail with quite scenic views. The downward portion through the rain forest is very interesting and Pie kept a close eye on every one of us, helping us where needed. I think by most standards this section would be classified as strenuous.
I believe the company offers an alternative of a few hours at a beautiful beach instead of the hike. (Something to consider if you have doubts about rigorous activity.)

Morning and afternoon refreshment breaks were fun with great local drinks available. And the lunch provided was great - BBQ chicken meal almost on the beach!

In the afternoon we toured Soufriere Hills Volcano and Plymouth. Seeing the destructive power of nature is a unique experience. I don't recall the guide's name for this tour, but his narrative was excellent. I think because, having lived in Plymouth, he had experienced the volcano in a very personal way.

We did fly to and from Antigua to Montserrat in an 8 passenger twin engine plane.
It was an exciting experience to see both islands from the air.

Overall - a wonderful day.

This was a fantastic day trip from Antigua. We booked with less than 24hrs notice, but Chloe made sure everything was in order for our trip the nextra morning. The flight was incredible, with some beautiful scenery as we approached Montserrat. The tour van was comfortable and spacious enough for our group. Our guide, Mr. Winston Telmsford, shard his encyclopedic knowledge of the island's history, the eruptions and evacuation, current issues and future plans for Montserrat with us. It was the highlight of our trip to Antigua, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.

If you are in Antigua a visit to Montserrat is a must, it was the highlight of
our holiday! The island is beautiful and lush the people are wonderful, the
Jolly up team was super friendly and ready and happy to assist with anything,
they all grew up on the Island so they know ALL there is to know about
Montserrat. It was an amazing experience to witness an active volcano and the
old city Plymouth which is now destroyed and abandoned. We got to meet local
people and hear their stories of the eruptions and scientists at the MVO who
were very informative about the eruptions that affected the island. I will never
forget our trip to Montserrat and would highly recommend you visit!
