We really enjoyed our stay at Nature Lodge.
The bungalows are basic and being so close to the jungle wildlife often find their way into your cabin. If you don't like bugs, spiders, geckos etc. it might be worth rethinking your stay here.
On one night we had two very large venomous spiders in our room, but the staff were so helpful and helped to capture them and put them outside.
Some of the staff don't speak good English but the Nature Lodge employ local staff who may not have had many opportunities in the past and offer them training in hospitality.
The two dogs who live at the lodge were so docile and became our close friends whilst on the lodge, we took them (or rather they took use) on a walk down to the natural lake on the grounds.
The food at the lodge is a little pricey and they excuse this by saying that a lot of ingredients need to be imported in, which is understandable, the staff also grow some fruit, herbs and vegetables in the garden which are used in the meals.
I was disappointed that the food on the menu was all Western and Thai.
In Cambodia I want to eat Khmer food, if I wanted to eat pizza and burgers I would have stayed in the UK.More
