Enjoy the most fab cheese on toast or tea & cake in cute vintage surroundings, or something stronger in the lovely bygones bar.........then take your pick of the interesting and well-priced "cornucopia" of vintage treasures. A little gem in this lovely old market town and well worth a visit.

I came here with my Mum for lunch recently and was a little disappointed. We ordered a salmon sandwich each, which the menu stated came with crisps and salad. It did, but unfortunately the crisps were Cheese & Onion flavour which my Mum doesn't eat - I would have expected it to be specified on the menu if the crisps weren't the typical Ready Salted flavour and when we asked about it were told that they got a selection of packets of crisps and emptied them into a big bowl which they then used (this seems a little odd to me). Another small disappointment was that, although my sandwich was on lovely bread with a good amount of salmon, it also seemed to be rather thickly spread with margarine (I would have expected butter). I would come here again but I think next time will try the home made soup. Lunch was reasonably priced but the service did seem to be a little unenthusiastic.

This was a happy discovery today when visiting Harleston for shoes. A happy wander after a visit to the charity shops and then a wander around the town to discover this Alladins cave of vintage and antique items.

It's arranged like an old fashioned Victorian arcade, with lts of different sellers putting together little collections of antiques and vintage clothes and linen. Some beautiful vintage clothes to be found towards the back and up stairs there is a record playing sending out some music that hits that nostalgia button for all. There is a section with some organic soaps and various beauty products up stairs - as well very handily a wooden nail brush- and some curtains and cushions.

At the back downstairs is a cafe with furniture from the past - and yes it is mismatched and all the better for that - where you can sit an order cake and tea or coffee or tea. Lunch is also available which is something I will return at a later date to explore.

There was even an Elizabethan Gluten free cake - which is great to find - to go with the coffee.

Well worth a visit and it would be interesting to visit the bar at a later date.

If you have visitors this would be a good place to visit.

I love looking around antique shops and collections of vintage goods and if you do too Cornucopia will be real treat for you. Parking is free at Budgens or down the street from Cornucopia. If you park at Budgens pop into the Bullock Fair charity shop also, then cross over to the book section. In Cornucopia there are independent sellers so there are a lot of individual stalls to suit all price ranges. It is very well set out. The cafe serves the usual lunchtime fayre, nothing special, but the staff are nice, if a little flustered, but the surroundings are comfy and relaxing. Put this village and Cornucopia on your things to see list if you are holidaying this way. The pub looks like fun and I think I read that you can hire it for a private function, worth doing I think for an intimate night of fun with friends

Really enjoyed an afternoon tea in quirky surroundings. So nice to see this place rejuvenated. Unusual stalls with plenty of reasonably priced vintage items, ideal gifts for the friend who has everything. Great to find a licensed cafe, excellent service, with good choice of food, tea pigs tea served in vintage china and plenty of conversation pieces. What's not to like? Only the fact that the bar is not open in the evening.
