The hostel itself isn't too bad but it's location makes a very good reason to avoid it!! Down a dodgy little street behind Omonia Square with junkies everywhere! If you want a cheap room for the night it does the job -the rooms are clean and the breakfast is simple, just be very weary walking to and from the hostel and watch out for needles!!

Absolute shocker. Situated in a really dodgy area of Athens - read brothels opposite, prostitutes/transexuals on the corner, junkies passed out in the doorway of the shop next door, needles on the ground. One morning we walked out to find blood everywhere on the corner...

Stayed in an ensuite room on the first floor and could hear Arabic music playing all night, and even at 8am when we woke the next morning. Bathroom was disgusting. The toilet was leaking so the whole bathroom floor was flooded. Our door had just about been punched through by some former angry backpacker staying there (maybe about the quality of the room!) Was a cheap night but there are hostels about 5 minutes away where you could have a good nights sleep as well. Not to mention, the level where the wifi/computers were, stunk like sewage the whole time we were there. Not really sure what was up with that.

Not recommended AT ALL

This place is a rough and ready backpacker's hostel - very clean with pleasant rooms but otherwise rather shabby - forget all about any kind of view! Breakfast was free but basic - juice and toast with other options available to buy. Staff were helpful but one was a bit too eager to promote one particular restaurant which was OK but a bit overpriced. Be warned though...the hotel is in a rough area of town with plenty of dodgy characters hanging around. The lifts would be a nightmare for anyone claustrophobic.

Easy Access is a great hostel - clean, tidy, equipped, comfortable. But it's close to the seedy part of town so travellers should be aware on the streets. However - walking distance to a great metro station and the Plaka shopping district. Awesome service at the bar, cheap drinks made well. So as long as you're wise on the street, you will have a great time.

I stayed for 4 days in the hostel with a small group of friends - definitley to long!!

Good: central location, hot shower, nice staff

Bad: breakfast, area, dirty blankets, beds

The hostel is in the red light district of Athens. The area is not nice and not secure. In front of the hostel are prostitutes.

The Continental Breakfast here was only toast, buter and marmelade. Cheese and ham you could buy extra. So it wasn´t really a Continental Breakfast. There was only one slowly toaster for all the people eating breakfast so that you had to wait.
The bed-linen was washed but the blanket has no bed-linen and looked dirty and used. Mine has some burn holes and the ones of my friends got hairs on it. It looks like if some people has taken it outside for to do a picnic.
So you should take your own blanket because this one you couldn´t realy use. It was to dirty.
The badroom was allright, but it hast no lock so you couldn´t really close it. The shower head was a little bit broken so that the water comes all over. The rest of the badroom was allright and almost clean.
We stayed in a 4-bed room and the bunk beds looked like if 2 beds were fixed together with glue to one bunk bed. They don´t were solidly built and they moved during the whole night when one of us moved to the other side during the sleep. They didn´t looked new although the website of the hostel says different, they look a little bit self-made and not solid built. So we were a lottle bit scary at night cause we thought maybe it would break down in night. (This was our impression, but thankfully it didn´t happend)
If you want towels you have to go down and ask for them. The stuff doesn´t bring it to then room and they don´t change the towels until you ask for new ones. But for the price its ok.
The baggageroom was not really save because it was to easy to get the key to come inside. They do not even ask you for the roomnumber or if you´re checking out.
The view outside was not the nicest, but for the price it was allright.
After I gave in my ranking to the ranking-homepage i got a not nice answer from management. But everything I said was true. And we never refused the cleaners.
The staff is nice!!

I would definitely not come back to this hostel and I wouldn´t recommend the hostel to anyone. Even if it´s cheap, it is not worth the money!!
I´m travelling a lot but I have never been that disappointed!!

I was constantly impressed with how clean this hostel was and they cleaned daily (at least somewhat). We weren't thrilled with the neighborhood, so when my husband flew home, the kids and I changed hotels. We ran into all kinds of crazy stuff on the streets, but never felt endangered. The breakfast as dry toast with butter and jam and coffee. The orange juice wasn't really juice, I'm pretty sure. The breakfast was quite disappointing. They have 3 computers you can use and in the bar, you can get wi-fi, but it didn't work in our room on the 1st floor. The bunkbeds were creaky and the mattresses were very firm. Overall, though, it was the cheapest deal we could find and it is a very nice hostel. It was also very convenient to the metro (less than a minute--so even though it's not a great part of town, you can leave quickly). We walked to Monastiraki multiple times and can get to many nearby attractions in minutes.

Yes, the hostel is located in a very sketchy part of Athens but just ignore the prostitutes and drug dealers are safe as long as you ignore them. I stayed in both Athenstyle (this hostel is located in a very ugly/ bad street and the quality of the rooms are not much better). The place is actually patroled by police so its very safe and secure!

Athens Easy is very clean, the rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally attractive, clean and its cheap, breakfast is bread and jam but unlimited and the staff are realy really nice!

The location of the hostel is also extremely convinient. Its walking distance to everything! and there is a big cheap supermarket in Athinas st. good for water and other food!

I stayed at Athenstyle but hands down Easy Access is much better and cheaper! Athenstyle is very dirty. The toilets are not cleaned at all!
