Great value for money budget hotel. The staff is fantastic especially Christos on the front desk, who literally became our friend and guide by helping us find some great restaurants, Zara stores etc.

Of course being a small hotel it does not have pools, bell desk, valet, parking etc. But has free wi fi, great service, a cute bar and a great location.

On the whole definitely recommended for people on a tight budget!

The staff at this hotel (particularly the gentleman that works the day shift) are brilliant and very accommodating. They were full of useful information on restaurants, opening time, etc. The shower is massive, my 19 month old treated it like her own private water park! The only con is that the nearest metro stop is closed, however, it is only a fifteen minute walk from Omoina station... very easy to navigate. The hotel provides free maps, which came in handy. There is a supermarket tis wo streets away from the hotel. The hotel offered an excellent breakfast selection. No baby highchairs, made it a bit difficult but we managed fine. I would stay in Hotel Areos any time I visit Athens!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights post-cruise. What a delight. Our room was large with a nice bathroom. We had free wifi. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. There is a bus stop at the corner. We were a few blocks from the National Archaeological Museum and a hop on-hop off bus stop. A few more blocks and you're at the Omonia metro stop. Breakfast was breads, cheese, meat, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, tea, coffee. The front desk was extremely helpful with maps, public transportation, etc. When we left for the airport, we had the hotel call a taxi to take us to Syntagma Square where we hopped on the airport bus. Because it was 4:30 am, the taxi charged 13 euros. The bus cost 5 euro pp.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights the second week of May. The hotel is small and the lobby area is quaint and cozy. The best thing about this hotel are the people at the front desk, they are personable, friendly and go out of their way to get you the information you need. The hotel is good value for the money insofar as it was clean and comfortable. My main complaint was that the entire hotel, including the room, smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Also I think it is important to note that is you want a shower you should specifically request a room with a shower as ours only had a bath and the rooms were always booked so we could not switch. The breakfast was not very appetizing but decent. The location could be seen as a plus or a minus. It is certainly safe although the cab drivers may tell you otherwise. We liked being kind of away from the "tourist zone" and were able to explore the neighborhood which has many bars and cafes but it is a bit of a hike to the metro and use your street smarts with the cabs as we were duped once and got ripped off!

Stayed for 2Nights,nice clean trendy hotel with modern decor.Spacious room with a small kitchenette.Hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly.Mr Andreas gave us useful information and Alexander helped us with the tickets.

Delicious breakfast including pastries with ham and cheese stuffings.Best hotel breakfast we had during our holiday.Metro is cheap and is only 8 euros per person from the airport to the city and 14 euros per group of 2 pax.Get off at Ambelkopi station and take the public bus or a cab from there.( cab will only cost 4 euros)
35 euros from airport to city during day hours in the night 50.
Only drawbacks are area is rundown and Victoria station which is nearest is closed for construction.

Hotel is clean and well maintain. Hotel bar is cosy, never too crowded. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay with this hotel again if we visit Athens again in the future.
