An affordable, modern boutique hotel with decent sized rooms by European standards. Roomy bathrooms with excellent standing showers and good counterspace.

The beds for two are full, firm mattresses. The pillow options give you a firm and medium firm choice, which is nice. Bedroom decor is solid, with modern touches. Small kitchenette and mini-fridge are nice to have. Ample closet and drawer space, given the size of the room. Our room also had a nice little corner balcony.

Air conditioner did a nice job with the 100 degree heat in August. Did take a few minutes to really get going, but did the job once it was blowing cold air.

Note, there is no room safe. Although the hotel will offer up their safe upon request.

The staff was very helpful with directions and recomendations. Everyone spoke English well to reasonably well.

The happy hour at the modern and stylish bar was a nice bonus. Not crowded, but well made cocktails with a generous pour.

The hotel is a short walk from the Victoria metro-stop, which takes you quickly (couple stops) to the main attractions. Quiet neighborhood at night.

Overall a very pleasant experience. Would stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Really good value for money, hotel was lovely and clean and was a really nice modern room and a great size! Staff we amazing and really friendly. Location was good, we walked to the Acropolis as we are keen walkers and it took about half an hour and 20 mins to get into the main shopping street. Breakfast was superb and so yummy! All in all, was a fantastic stay and cannot fault the place! 100% would recommend!

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Areos Hotel with our older teenage daughters. It was perfect for us. Andreas, at the front desk, was extremely helpful and pleasant from the minute I called to inquire about a reservation. When we arrived, he helped us figure out our visit, so that in the end, in 2 nights and one day of non stop sightseeing and street wandering, we felt like we saw a lot of Athens, and truly enjoyed it, even in 95 degree weather! His suggestions were just great! The hotel is in a quiet street, a 5 to 10 minutes cab ride from the main attractions. Cabs are plentiful in Athens, and it was always between 5 and 8 euros. The room was spacious and very clean, albeit a bit dark. The breakfast which was included in the room fee was very good and very generous. The cost of the room was very reasonable.
There did not seem to be much to explore around the hotel, but it did not bother us since we had such a busy schedule with the main sights.
We definitely would recommend the Areos Hotel for a short visit to Athens. Make sure you talk to Andreas!

Stayed a week at the Areos hotel for a business trip. The location is handy - not just close to the metro, but also within a 20 minute walk of the old town, shops etc. The bus stop to the coast is just a few mins walk away, the park is very close by. Nice room, very friendly and informative staff, good breakfast (although not as good as at the Park Hotel, but that's a bit more expensive). Wouldn't hesitate to go back to the Areos Hotel! Btw, Internet worked well, fast and for free.
