We chose this restaurant for the last night of our holiday because we had walked past it every day and admired the attention to every small detail - flowers in wheelbarrow, in watering cans etc.
It was close to where we were staying and it was great for a nice relaxing evening on the last night as we were exhausted! (We don't do relaxing holidays!)
Food was really nice and seemed more upmarket than the food in central athens without being pricier. It did come out when it was ready rather than at the same time (my friend had a salad and I had pork) so maybe ask for them at the same time so one of you isn't staring at her food waiting for the other meal to arrive!

My Athenian best friends turned me on to this hip spot in Gazi that has traditional fare with a modern twist..the bread and all the baking is the best in Greece,
I will return again and again..Mommas bread is to die for!

Out of all the wonderful places the wonderful Athens TA team has introduced me to over the past couple of years, I have to admit, this one is about the 'homiest'..environment & food wise:) The word 'spitakia' (plural here!) refers to 'home' and you'll certainly feel it when walking into this establishment..the set-up is earthy and 'real'..while mama literally is kneading the bread in the back where it will appear still steaming on your table..We're talking home-made here..everything on the menu, from apps to main courses are lovingly prepared and presented..in a most beautiful atmosphere:) Another one a bit difficult to find..but when you do..you're sure to return..and certainly Enjoy!
