“Nice place in central spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2012

Small entrance but good atmosphere, nice balcony and good view from breakfast terrace on top.
Good selection of hot and cold dishes at breakfast buffé.
Hotel staff is service minded and will assist if you need information or support.
Just 2 minutes walk to Syntagma square from where you can reach all tourist attractions in Athens.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony.

I booked the hotel via reviews found on TripAdvisor. It was just for one night prior to boarding a cruise ship the next day. Front desk was helpful at check-in, and there is free internet which is always a plus in Europe! Room was spacious, especially the bathroom, but I did notice the room was in need of a little attention and fresh paint. Also, it has one of those air conditioning units on the wall, always a little tricky to figure out how to work. I failed, and as a result, room was either super cold or super warm. Breakfast is upstairs on top level - buffet, help-yourself-style and when I got up there, in need of replenishment. It had enough left that I wasn't hungry, but presentation could have been a little nicer. Overall - fine, not amazing.

Room Tip: Booked online via the hotel's website and got a great rate.

I picked this hotel as the first leg of a 10 day honeymoon in Greece. I picked the hotel because of it's proximity to everything and the beautiful pictures from the hotel website. Unfortunately, although the location was a five, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, I was somewhat disappointed with the room. Hotels are all about sleeping and showering. Everything else is a bonus. I had requested the Diamond Junior Suite and was confirmed for a king bed. What we got were two twin beds pushed together. If I wanted that I would have just requested a room with two twins for a much lower rate and pushed them together myself! Also, there was a bathtub with no shower curtain and just a hose running from the spout. Basically you had to shower with one hand. Also, the room was a hideous color of pink and not one from the pictures on their website. I had informed them this was for a honeymoon and would have hoped they would have given me a better room for 250 Euro a night. I would give this hotel a two but the staff are very helpful and friendly. Also the location cant be beat but there are many hotels in that area. I think this hotel is worth about 150 Euro a night. Definitely overpriced.

Room Tip: Stay away from room 201. Also, if you want a King be sure it is not two tiwn beds pushed together.

We had room 303 which was a corner room with a large balcony. The light green and silver colour was lovely and bright. The double glazed windows meant it was very quiet at night. It's in a perfect location - very close to both the Plaka and Syntagma Square. The airport bus is only a 5 minute walk away. Flat screen TV had English cable TV. Very comfortable bed.

The bathroom was clean and once we worked out the trick with the shower head we had the best shower that we had had during our 6 week stay in Greece. Turn the shower on hard and push the shower head up and into the wall and it should stay in place rather than just flop. The shower was large, had a glass shower screen, was hot, plenty of water pressure and wonderful after a long day walking around the ruins of Athens. We were given fresh towels each day.

Breakfast in the roof top room was simple but filling. The buffet had all the usual choices but when the pastries run out that was it - so get there early!

Room Tip: Corner room was large.

Great motel right in the middle of Athens. Staff really friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Gave us all the advice we could hope for. Would definitely recommend to anyone spending time in Athens.

We stayed in Diamond Athens in September. The hotel is located right in the center of Athens! can't get better. The Ermou Str is a few steps away. The Monastiraki also is very close and actually you have access to everything! The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious! They are exactly as the photos show! The lights are also very relaxing! Definitely recommended!

We are a couple travelling for a weekend in Athens. The best boutique hotel we have seen in the last years. Yiannins Papamichelakis welcomed us and he was great. He helped us for all our requests and he knows to give a great service.
Strongly recommended to be near the center (Placa) and to find the center under your feet. The bride white rooms are really beautiful. Excellent choice.

Room Tip: We have been in the newer and white rooms.
