Have been to Gallo Nero several times. I consider it one of the best few options in downtown athens to taste some real quality italian food and especially pasta.
Food: Everyhting is cooked exactly the italian way, tasteful, nicely served. My favorite dish is Tagliatelle with Salmon. Their tagliatelle is home made and always fresh
Staff: Very friendly. Some times orders can be served with delay when place is a bit crowded (especially during weekends)
Quite atmoshphere and interesting design.
Prices: within the expected range considering that it is a hotel restaurant with very good quality of food
Tip: Try the chef's trademarked (!) dessert, called calzone dolce!
