Excellent location, nice size rooms. The breakfast buffet is perfect - again it's clean and the place has been renovated. From the terrasse you have a fabulous view the the Acropolis. Perfect place to have a drink as the sun sets and the lights of the Acropolis light up one after the other. Tons of terrasse/restaurants at your doorstep. Can't beat it for price & quality.
At the breakfast area - it's open all afternoon for coffee and cookies. Small charge for WiFi (8E for 24 hours use - not consecutive).

If you want to live within the Plaka and close to the Acropolis, choose this hotel. It is clean, affordable, with air conditioning that works and has very friendly informative staff, free coffee/tea until around 6 PM and what was remarkable they add cucumber to their water pitcher which is most refreshing after being outside or sightseeiing. On the roof top at night you have a spectacular view of the Acropolis, it's so very magical. Plenty of eateries around the hotel and it is quite safe, even at night. We were three ladies and never felt uncomfortable. The Athenians were just such a friendly lot.

Room Tip: The first room we got was fine so we did not have to look for another

Combine, cleanliness, comfort and good service, throw it in the middle of town and you have the hotel you want to book yourself into. This is probably the best spot in Athens. It's in the middle of all the interesting things you'll want to see and do in this concrete jungle.

Loved the room - spacious and clean, lots of little spots to tuck bags and things away. Bathrobes and slippers included - makes one feel special, no?

About 20 minutes after we were shown to our room there was a knock at the door and a delivery of fresh fruit and a small bottle of wine as a complimentary welcome gift!!! Yes, we felt even more special!

Whatever toiletries you use are replaced daily, that's a lot more than some places and we've been to a fair few.

However, what really sets this hotel apart is the view. We drew back our curtains and were faced with the Acropolis/Parthenon. No other buildings in the way. And it's even more majestic at night when the lights come on. At that point you want to get yourself to the roof, order a drink, sit back and relax and take in the night - it is surprisingly quiet. The bar tender even remembered our order the following night. No, that's not creepy. That is good customer service, makes you feel like a person, not an ATM.

The dining area is open all day with free tea/coffee and biscuits on offer! Breakfast has great variety and lots of little Greek treats. There is also a "tour guide" that works with the hotel, who will come around and tell you all about places to go. They don't actually try to sell you things, they are just making sure you have your day planned so you can get the most out of their city. They even give you little background stories to different places, and they are usually fluent in more than 2 languages - you know, just to step up that amazing customer service another notch or two!

It is also located very close to the major shopping strip in Athens! However, we really enjoyed our little evening stroll around the corner where we picked a grill taverna and sat for a meal and beer (and it is the cheapest, most delicious meal we had in Europe!) under the trees (yes there are trees in Athens, contrary to popular belief).

Point is - gotta give this hotel a go next time you find youself in Athens.

Oh, do keep in mind that the lift is rather small!

Stayed here for 2 nights during our week long Greece trip. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the roof top view of the Acropolis at night - you can sit on the terace, grab a drink and have one of the most beautiful views around. Rooms were clean and modern, but typically small. One con, was a very small, not very reliable elevator, that can take 5 minutes to get you to your room.

Location
The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from Monastiraki metro station. Along the way from metro station to hotel, you'll pass by a few restaurants and Starbucks. There's a restaurant called Thanasis (you'll see it along the way from metro station to hotel), we had one of our dinner there and the food is great, I would recommend to try it. Flea market is just right next to Monastiraki metro station and Hadrian's Library (ancient archaeological site) is a minute or two away as well. On the left side of the hotel, there're some restaurants as well and another left turn, it was the street for night time shopping, a very long street with lots of shops and some restaurant, it feels like a night market. With 10 - 20 minutes walk, you'll reach a lot more other tourist attractions. You might find yourself having hard time choosing where to eat as there're too many restaurant around this area, we feel like going in and try each of them.

*Greek salad or tomato salad is a must try. The tomato is so crunchy that I almost wanted to order a second plate.

Room
The room is average, but spacious. It is clean and tidy, but nothing special. Toilet is clean (this helps give better rating to the room although the room itself is just average, check the photos I uploaded). WiFi is not free. I was expecting a double room means a double bed, but in fact it is two single beds put together. The aircond is just like the one you have at home, you'll need to switch it on and wait for a period of time to cool down. We're there on summer, coming back from hot and sunny day, it will be good if the room is cold when we enter, but unfortunately we have to wait for the aircond to cool the room down. Roof Terrace is a must visit, it has a great night view of Acropolis.

Service
Check-in and check-out is quick. Breakfast is OK. There're some brochure next to the hotel restaurant, they comes with Athens map, we used that to travel around.

Overall: Great location, average room.

Location is Perfect - turn left you are in the lovely shopping areas & touristic restaurants. Turn right & you are on route for Syntagma & Archaeological Museum and some really nice restaurants.

The Staff are super extra helpful. Eva their PR lady is really helpful, knowledgable and advised us of areas of Athens to avoid. Buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide range of hot and cold food. The hotel offers free tea, coffee and hot chocolate until 5.30 every day which is a lovely thing to do. The only gripe we had was that they charged 5 Euros for a glass of wine on their rooftop terrace (the view is great) but considering you can get a half litre of wine for between 3.50 - 6 euros elsewhere this wasn't very good so they lost out on our custom there.
When we had a problem in the room - the air conditioning broke down and resulted in water running down the walls at 5am and all over the bed and my husband they were very helpful and changed our room without any issues at all. They do have a problem in that their lift is very very small - it only accommodates 4 people at a time which caused them a problem during the busy breakfast period.
However, given that the hotel is really centrally placed, the rooms are airy and bright and clean, and their staff really go the extra mile to help their guests. If we return to Athens we would book the hotel again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good

Nice hotel with great views from the roof terrace of the Acropolis and across the city . Good friendly staff make this an ideal hotel that is well located close to old part of city. Breakfast was good and tea coffee available throughout the day along with biscuits!
Would recommend as a good, reasonably priced hotel in great location with easy access by metro.
