We (Mum and I) stayed in the Plaka Hotel for 1 week. The hotel is centrally located to everything like the markets, cafe, restaurants, shops, city centre and tourist sites. You literally only need to walk and forget about the car. If you do need transport it is literally a hop skip and jump. The Hotel itself is very clean, excellent service, the breakfast is really good and most of all the Rooftop Garden is a star attraction to the Hotel. Sip a Margherita and watch the sun go down and the lights lighting up the Parthenon. We had a fantastic time in Athens and enjoyed our stay at the Hotel.

This is a satisfactory 3 star hotel in a very convenient location. The air conditioning in the room was not able to cope as the temperature was in the 30s celsius, but it was better than nothing.

We (me, husband and three sons aged 17, 19 and 21) stayed in July. It was my second visit and the hotel didn't let us down. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms more than adequate. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and staff kept replenishing the food and drink right up to the end of service. The major plus, however, is the location. Sightseeing from here is a doddle, the view from the roof terrace helps you get a great feel for the layout of the area around the hotel. Top tip, however, is go up to the roof bar just before sunset, get a drink, watch the sun go down and the Acropolis light up slowly in the dusk. Stunning. Downside? none really other than you may find it difficult to get a room because of it's popularity and the lift, though perfectly formed, is tiny.

Travelling on my own i expect to get a single room looking on to the buckets at the back of hotels. Imagine my delight when I opened the door on to a double bedded room and pulled the curtains to show a direct line to the Acropolis. It was a great hotel, the staff on the reception were lovely and took interest in the fact I was meeting my son in Athens. Very close to Syntagma Square where you get a direct bus to the airport for only 3.20 euros. The view from the roof was amazing. I would advise anyone to visit this hotel. Couldn't have done better.

this hotel was booked through Skoosh and the rates were decent for the city. The rooms are simple, very clean and our room was a nice size. We didn't have the Acropolis view, but our friends did. Our room was on the other side and was quiet enough, especially with the air conditioner on. The breakfast was ample and the room was pleasant. The best thing about this hotel was the location, couldn't beat that. We walked every where and although only had 2 nights in Athens, we managed to see alot. The only negative was that the beds are really hard!
