perfect location ,everthing was close by ;transport, restaurants, shopping, history.
the room was comfortable, but balcony door was the only way to access fresh air and the airconditioning unit from next room was on it and blowing hot air at us, very uncomfortable not having a window to open.could hear other guests of hotel through the walls and ceiling, the front desk staff not very helpfull giving inaccurate information and also unwilling to help with printing documents, breakfast was good, but after the third day with no new options it became boring

So many people I know that visited Athens, did not enjoy this part of their Greek holiday. It was one of our favourites. The location of this hotel is perfect, all connecting cobblestone streets with unique shops and great restaurants. The hotel itself was just ok/average. BUT, we generally had to take the stairs, long waits for the 1 and only elevator. We were on the 4th floor, and even brought our luggage down the stairs ourself after waiting more than 10 mins for an elevator that did not come. The breakfast was pretty good, and it had the best rooftop view ever! The price was good, and I would definitely stay here again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for staying with us. We are glad you enjoyed so much the central location of the hotel with easy access to most interesting parts as well as the old city with small restaurants which are just on our foot steps. As for the elevator matter it is one of the things which are diffidcult to be changed and we are sorry that you happen to have a problem.
Hope to see you again.

Best regards

On a recent trip through North Africa, Malta, Cyprus and Greece, we stayed at the perfect boutique hotel in central Athens. Hotel Plaka was like a sanctuary to us. What a delight to open our hotel room window and gaze at the Acropolis! The hotel also has a wonderful roof top bar with views of the Acropolis as well. What better way to end your day than sipping a glass of wine on their roof top, gazing at the lights of the Acropolis. The location is perfect to tour the ancient sites of Athens, wander the street, explore the local cafes and enjoy the street markets. The hotel staff was most welcoming and willing to help answer any questions we had. The morning breakfast was lovely. One could see the hotel owner, chatting with other guests, ensuring their stay was going well and they were enjoying themselves. Something you don't find at most hotels. Upon our departure, we had a late night stay. The hotel owner was pleased to give us a very late check out at a very good price. We highly recommend this boutique hotel.

After a bad start to our trip in Athens (nearly getting mugged in another area) this hotel was a blessing, it was in a great location to the main attractions in the city that you can walk to, and had a very safe feeling about it.
The rooms were good with nice little balconies overlooking the main street which is noisey and yet the rooms were still quite when the balcony doors where closed.
The garden bar on the roof is the hotels main attraction and is a wonderful place to start the night with a few drinks before heading down to the streets.
The breakfast was great with a good selection of everything you could want
The staff are nice and friendly and we could get our laundry and tours sorted from the front counter.
We were able to walk to the train station (approx 5-10min) from the hotel, to catch the train to the airport.
My partner and I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.

Atherns is a great city to visit. The main things to see and do our very easy to get to and this hotel is an ideal location for seeing the incredible sites like the Parthenon etc. and for the many restaurants, good gyros places, etc. The hotel is a good deal for the money, has perfectly adequate rooms, and a great rooftop deck with views of the acropolis. Breakfast is included and nothing special but fine and a great time to plan out your day and there was always a very helpful gal there very proactively providing guidance, suggestions, answering questions etc. There is a small elevator but we really never had to wait long and you can always take the stairs. I've traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels from motel 6 to ritz carlton and assuming you have the right expectations for what you are paying for this place is a very good choice to make.

The location of hotel is excellent, is stone throw away from Monastiraki Station, 1min walk away from Ermou shopping district, short walk to all the main attractions. Roof top garden has an excellent view of Acropolis. Very friendly staff and very friendly GM that check with guests constantly if guests need any help from very simple matters to showing guests how to get around Athens. I will definitley want to stay here again.

The rooms were small but adequate. The view of the Acropolis is unmatched, especially at night from the rooftop lounge while having a glass of wine. It is within walking distance (2 blocks or less) of a large shopping district. All in all we could not have been more satisfied.
