This is further east of Syntagma, we walked up here. The area looks bit upscale and elite. There's nothing specific for tourists here. Can be skipped.

We'd read that this was one of the must see squares, but wasn't really for us. If you like shopping this would be a great area, but for us, this was not a highlight. The park in the square is nice and quiet, and was a nice place to eat our sandwiches and drink some espresso.

if you want a coffe or juice or food and feel and immerse in authentic greek life than Kolonaki square is the place. Around it you have lot of shops and after visitng them you can stop on a terrace among greek people to chat and enjoy their calm life style. It is interesting to experience the real day life of an athenian and this is happening in this square. Hard to describe in words is more feelings.

The square is quite nice, but it is very similar to main shopping streets in every major city in Europe. If you feel like walking around, looking at the brand stores and the boutiques - this is a good place to do so. Additionally, there ate many cafes and restaurants around to sit, take a break and enjoy tasty Greek food.
