“Nightlife for youngsters”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

The Gazi area is relatively a new nightlife spot for Athens. A former industrial area now is where the heart of the young and the restless beats. Gazi, a name taken from the gas factory that now is a multipurpose area, is very close to the center and easily accessible in many ways. You can take the metro (sation Kerameikos), walk (15' from Syntagma) or take a bus. The choices are endless. You can eat, dance, drink a coffee, see an exhibition on a near buy gallery or museum. It's not picturesque but mostly industrial. Former silos or garages houses now bars for all the music tastes and styles in one of the most open minded areas with a strong gay presence. Everyday it's a party so don't hesitate to visit it on weekdays. Mostly a place for younger ages but with some of the most characteristics bars of Athens (Gazaki, Gazarte, A Liar Man, Tapas).

“The night life area”
Reviewed 23 March 2013

the place to have imported beer and drinks, barmen are very generous! you can have triple whisky when you order a glass!
if you are hungry there is a shop selling very nice hot sandwiches for 3.50
there are 2 or 3 nice traditional restaurants also..
they never close before 3 am specially in weekends..

“New Year disappointment”
Reviewed 31 December 2012

We decided to go to Gazi for New Years Eve based on all the reviews. Worst New Year atmosphere ever all the bars were empty, no party in the streets, just a little unenthusiastic clapping at midnight. We spent last Year trapped in the Paris metro and had a better time!!!! Everyone too busy posing to let their hair down and have a little fun.
