We spent three nights at the Hilton for a weekend trip to Athens. When booking we used a company rate that was significantly cheaper than the standard rate and also included the breakfast. The hotel is nice but not exceptional, and the location is ok but not great. Without the discount rate we would not consider it worth the money.

Positive points:
-Good breakfast. There were chefs cooking in the breakfast room, and you could have make to order waffles and other dishes. A big selection of bread, cereales, cakes and whatever you could possibly want.
- Nice room with a small balcony.

Could be improved:
- The internet connection is very expensive. You have to be lucky and find a friendly neighbour of the hotel with an open internet connection available from your balcony...
- It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the city center. However the metro station is quite close and it is just one stop to the center, so this is not a very big problem.
- Not a lot of restaurants around the hotel, you either eat in the hotel or go to the center.
- The roof top restaurant has a very nice view of Akropolis. The food however is very expensive compared to what you actually get, and I would not really recommend eating there.
- There was quite a lot of noise from the street that could be heard from the room.
- There was a tray with food left over from room service that stayed in our corridor for 36 hours...

Overall not a bad hotel but consider it only if you get a serious discount on the standard rate...

We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel. Wonderful Breakfast selections, and Dinner at the Rooftop restaurant is not to be missed. Watch the sunset and the lights of the City with the Acropolis as the background. A first class facility in every way.
The incredible swimming pool is wonderful , with an excellent bar and restaurant as well.

The Hilton Athens is a large impressive hotel with multiple restaurants, bars, lounges and even shops on property. The hotel reminded me much of a large conference center type of hotel in the United States. I would definitely stay there again.

ROOMS: Our room was spacious, trendy and modern. We had an outdoor patio with soundproof glass doors to block the noise from the street below. We had a real king bed (not the European two twins pushed together) and a small sofa in the room. The bathroom and shower were also very nice.

LOCATION: If you want to be within a stone's throw of the Parthenon and the Olympic stadium, there are other hotels that will get you closer. You can walk to those locales from the Hilton Athens but it would be a fairly long walk. The hotel's location was perfect for us since we were only in town for a night in transit from the Greek Islands back to the United States. From the restaurant on the roof, you can see all of Athens including the Parthenon which is very nice.

AMENITIES: The hotel has 7 or 8 restaurants, bars, lounges that all serve food until very late at night (1-2am). Their bars are also very trendy but appropriate for all ages.

We stayed at the Athens Hilton for 1 night and were very happy. We got a great deal on priceline; if we hadn't gotten our room that way, it would have been out of our price range. That being said, we had NO complaints about the property. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms were clean and nicely appointed, and overall things were great. Just be prepared for expensive services....room service and internet usage were pretty costly, but that's to be expected at a place like this.

Hilton Athens is very nicely located within a few blocks of Syntagma Square. The hotel is nicer than many other Hiltons which can sometimes be a little basic and the rooms are a good size. You can get a view of the Acropolis from some of the rooms.

The usual professional staff - efficient and courteous. Like other Hiltons, though, the service is hardly personalized. We had just returned from Crete where we'd been amazed at the hospitality of people, so this was a little bit of a contrast. But no complaints. Personalized service is not what you usually expect anyway when you choose to stay at a Hilton hotel.

I stayed at the Hilton Athens at the end of May and overall, I had no major complaints. The location is a 2 minute walk from the Evangelismos metro station and one stop from the Syntygma metro station (costs 1 euro per ride, 3 euros per full-day ride). I found this to be very convenient to go around and have a slight distance from the busyness of the city. The hotel overall was very polished and the staff accomplished their job. The rooms were extremely clean, with marble bathrooms and a modern design. I didn't get the view of the acropolis in my room, but I wanted to give priority to getting a non-smoking room. (Note: you can get other great views of the acropolis from other venues too.) My rate did include buffet breakfast, which was very good, but does cost 32 euros if it's not included in your rate. In terms of value, I only gave 4/5 because the hotel was charging 15 euros to use the indoor pool and exercise facilities and 40 euros for all day internet. There was an internet cafe about 2 blocks away for a much lower rate. I did not dine at the Milos restaurant, but there were other good options outside the hotel such at Vlassos. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely come back to the Hilton.
