We stayed at Periscope for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon trip to Greece. The hotel offered great decor in an excellent location. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the restaurant but the breakfast was very nice. The hotel room was very spacious and decorated in simple black and white lines. We thought the bed was amazing and was by far the best bed we slept in during our two week stay in Greece (Kephalonia, Athens, Santorini and Crete).....The hotel is an upmarket part of town with great restaurants and bars located round the corner. It is also in walking distance to the Metro, which we used to travel to the Acropolis and the old quarter. Excellent hotel in a great location.

We stayed at the Periscope Hotel during a quick stop over in Athens on our way to the Greek islands for our honeymoon. The hotel was nice and clean. The bathroom was surprisingly large as well as the shower. We enjoyed the black out blinds which helped block out the sunlight since we had just arrived from the US and were adjusting to the time difference. The front staff were polite and food at the restaurant was okay. There was construction going on across the street which gets to be a little loud. But we felt the location in the city was good safety-wise which was most important to us because we were going to be walking a lot. We would recommend this hotel.

I have been in this hotel for the last 5 years on a monthly basis and have been never been disappointed. First of all I have to mention the absolutely friendly and helpful staff, especially the people at the reception. Whenever you have problems, questions they are there to help. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated in modern straight way. Although the restaurant has changed the owner several times, nowadays it hosts one of the most popular restaurants in Athens. If you can afford stay in room 401,402,501 or 502. They are spacy and have a huge balcony.

The location of this hotel is perfect, the area is very safe and walking distance from the National Art Museum.
the staff @ the reception are very courteous and were helpful in guiding us. The restaurant serves nice food, with nice breakfast, though they could do better by keeping some extra people to serve.

The facilities are perfect, size of the rooms is equal to any hotel in greece. hotel is recommended for its location, facilities and service. Will like to stay there again.

Small design hotel in quiet part of Athens. Don't expect full service - there is just a restaurant/cafe in the ground floor adjacent to the lobby. However, the food served there is very good and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. It's a good option for Athens and not outrageously expensive - I would definitely recommend.

Our only complaint during our stay was the building work happening opposite which woke us very early on the Friday morning. However this was in September 2011 and I would assume that this has now been completed.

The Poseidon is ideally located near all the main attractions - ruins and museums. There is an eclectic mix of dining experiences nearby, not to mention some very cool shopping outlets. The accommodation is very clean and the staff are exceptional. Lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room was a bit of a let down but the downstairs bar and bistro served a fabulous breakfast. Recommended!

Room Tip: Go for the Superior for the extra space.

Because of my work I travel regularly, although I like hotels and has visited quite a lot of them in different parts of the world. There are only few of them that makes me changing my plans according their availability, I remember last time I was planning to visit Athens, there were no available rooms sooner than a week after my schedule, without second thought, i first booked my room and then reschedule my plan. How can you not appreciate a friendly voice in the morning informing you that you may check out late without charge? these small details makes the difference and gives character to something already beautiful.

Room Tip: already stayed in few rooms, all of them were nice clean and cozy
