Literally can't recommend this hotel enough. Perfect location - at the heart of everything whilst not being too in the thick of it. Impeccable service, really very helpful and friendly staff. Clean, modern design and the roof terrace has amazing views of the acropolis whilst drinking lovely cocktails. Tick!

We stayed for 4 days and loved it! The staff are all extremely friendly and clearly want to make sure their guests are happy. We arrived early after a very difficult travel day and they were very accommodating and were able to get us checked in early. The concierge was also very helpful in setting up dinner reservations and a private tour. The private tour was 3 hours with an amazing guide (Betty - ask for her, she is FANTASTIC!) and was reasonably priced and tailored to exactly what we wanted to see. The location is great, close and walkable to everything. The room was quite nice and the bed was crazy comfortable! We had the studio sized room and it was very spacious. We ended all our evenings with an ouzo at the rooftop restaurant/bar. It has a modern lounge vibe with outdoor seating with a great view of the acropolis. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices and was yummy. The turndown service with chocolates on the beds was a nice touch as well.

I'd definitely recommend staying here. I'm sure we'll be back!

Situated in the heart of Athens, so very close to everything.
A very modern hotel with quirky art pieces - beautiful if u like that stuff.
The staff were fantastic and gave great recommendations for nearby restaurants that were really traditional Greek food and not too over priced and tasted amazing!
As for the room, the bed was amazing - one of the best beds (and the sheets were fantastic!) we've slept in. Very comfortable pillows as well!
The only minor let down was that the room was a little small and cramped - we were on a 6 week vacation and had 2 large luggages with us that barely fit in the room!
Oh and the missus also got a bit frustrated with the yellow mirror - part of the deco whereby the colour of the mirror was a tinge yellow. She says it made it difficult to put her make up on. I didn't really notice :)
Overall a fantastic hotel
(with a great bar upstairs with a great view of the city as well!)

Let me start by saying I love fun, modern design and was really looking forward to a stay at New Hotel. In many respects, I was not disappointed -- there are lots of very clever design elements to the public spaces and the rooms. Location is great, bed was incredibly comfortable, balcony was very nice and the included breakfast was very good. But in the end, there were a few design decisions that proved unfortunate and would make me think twice before going back.

First, there is no storage space immediately adjacent to the pedestal sink other than the ledge around the sink itself. Yes, the sink and its stand is funky and interesting, but it certainly was possible to do something fun while including a little storage for toiletries.

Second, because the sink is in the bedroom area (the toilet and shower are in a separate little room), tucked behind a partial wall, if one goes to the bathroom at night, the sink-area lighting is pretty bright even in the sleeping area. Fine for one person, not so good for two.

Third, our room, which was compact, unnecessarily wasted space with a cool looking chair that had a 6-foot tall ladder back that was too uncomfortable to actually sit in. I suspect they could have found a chair that would not only signal that the New Hotel is a design hotel, but also can actually be sat in.

My bottom line is that the New Hotel fails because the designers cared more about showing how cool they are than actually providing a space that works for guests. For a solo traveller, the New Hotel works but for two it can be difficult.

Dear Guest,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us such a detailed review. It gives us great pleasure to know that you enjoyed our location, hospitality, bedding experience and our homemade breakfast at our restaurant New Taste. The New Hotel offers different type of rooms starting from standard to studio, junior suites and our penthouse suite depending upon our guests’ needs and taste. Please allow us to mention that an important part of the renovation project was the injection of New ideas locally relevant yet internationally accessible. On behalf of our staff would like to thank you and we will be more than happy to welcome you back.
Kind Regards

Stayed in a Studio here for a few nights with two great balconies. Hotel was unique with a great atmosphere/ambiance - design, smell, view , just wonderful. Room was a good size, sufficient closet space and although on a busy street, as a light sleeper, sound protection was sufficient and I was undisturbed! Busy street....central location: very close to great recluse of National Garden, close to great sights (Olympic Stadium, Parliament, Palace, Acropolis), and great food hot spots within fifteen minutes walk. Beautiful rooftop view. Wi-fi in room was almost non-existent, management was quick to offer support when notified of issues. Food and laundry service was quite expensive in my opinion - stayed on budget by going to local cafes and local laundry facilities (great experience) as travelling for an extensive period. Some items not replenished by housekeeping. Was a classy location to see the best of Athens.
